Samsung appears to be preparing to launch two new smartphones in India soon. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M47 5G and Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro 5G have now surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database hinting at an imminent India debut. Alongside the certification appearance, key specifications and expected pricing details of the Galaxy M47 have also leaked online. Here’s more on that.
According to reports, two Samsung Galaxy models have now appeared on the BIS certification website carrying the model numbers “SM-M476B/DS” and “SM-E476B/DS”. While the certification listing does not officially reveal the marketing names of the devices, previous Geekbench and IMEI database entries give us an idea.

It seems the model number SM-M476B/DS corresponds to the Galaxy M47, while the SM-E476B/DS is believed to be the Galaxy F70 Pro.
The “DS” branding in the model numbers further indicates dual-SIM support for both upcoming smartphones.
According to the listing, both devices received BIS certification approval on May 15 and many tech enthusiasts have taken it as a strong signal that their India launch may take place soon.
According to a recent post by tipster Sanju Choudhary on X, the Galaxy M47 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. It is also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
For photography, the Galaxy M47 5G is said to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, the smartphone may include a 12MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
Samsung is also expected to offer six years of software updates with the Galaxy M47.
Moreover, tipster also suggested that Galaxy M47 5G could launch in India in the Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 price segment. The tipster further claims that the smartphone may share several hardware specifications with the Samsung Galaxy A27.
