Motorola has announced the launch of Moto Buds 2 in India, adding to its audio lineup in the country. The new wireless earbuds will join the Moto Buds 2 Plus. Both models were first shown globally at MWC 2026 in Barcelona earlier this year.
If reports are accurate, the Moto Buds 2 in India should feature the same features as the global version.
Moto Buds 2 will launch in India on May 19, along with the G37 series smartphones, including the Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power. The earbuds are aimed at users who want premium audio features, active noise cancellation, and long battery life at a good price.
They were first introduced globally in March this year, featuring LHDC and spatial audio support for a more immersive listening experience.
Moto Buds 2 are expected to have an 11mm dynamic driver and a 6mm micro planar magnetic driver for balanced bass and clear vocals. Motorola will likely include Hi-Res Audio certification and Dolby Atmos support for better sound during music, gaming, and movies.
A main feature of the earbuds is expected to be Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which can help block out background noise for better listening. For calls, the earbuds should use six microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) to improve sound quality.
The earbuds are expected to offer Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device pairing, touch controls, and low-latency gaming support. They may also include adjustable EQ with Bass Boost, Ring My Buds, voice assistant support, Audio Share, and Moto AI features.
The earbuds have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and may support Google Fast Pair for faster connection with Android devices.
Battery life is expected to be a highlight for Moto Buds 2. Reports say the earbuds could provide up to 48 hours of playback with the charging case and 11 hours on a single charge.
With ANC turned on, battery life might be a bit shorter, but the earbuds should still last all day. Fast charging is also expected. Motorola may provide several hours of playback from a short charge, which is helpful for people who travel often or use their earbuds for long periods.
Motorola has confirmed that Moto Buds 2 will be sold on Flipkart, Motorola India’s website, and in offline stores after launch.
The official India price will be revealed at the launch event on May 19. However, leaks suggest Moto Buds 2 could cost between Rs 4,999 and Rs 5,999, putting them in the mid-range TWS segment. In the UK, they are priced at GBP 70 (about Rs. 8,500).
The earbuds are expected to come in several colours, including Blue, Black, and Green, matching Motorola’s recent audio product designs.
The Moto Buds 2 are set to launch in India on May 19, 2026.
The earbuds are expected to support Active Noise Cancellation, Hi-Res Audio, and Dolby Atmos.
The Moto Buds 2 are likely to be priced between Rs 4,999 and Rs 5,999 in India.
