The company is pledging ₹20 crore annually for the next five years, totaling ₹100 crore, to invite the tech and developer community to enhance security and foster trust within its devices.

Through the initiative, the company is inviting independent researchers to actively test its systems, challenge its security architecture and highlight vulnerabilities that can be addressed before they impact consumers.

We are opening our doors to India’s technology community because we believe the safest products are built not in isolation, but together.”

The initiative further strengthens Ai+’s broader philosophy around transparency, privacy, and user ownership, values that also sit at the centre of NxtQuantum OS, the company’s sovereign mobile operating system initiative.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Launch Date Confirmed

The iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is scheduled to be unveiled in China on August 10. Apart from confirming the launch date and the official name, the company has not shared any additional details about the smartphone.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra – Expected Specifications

The alleged iQOO Neo 11 Ultra was previously spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform in June with the model number V2545A. The benchmark listing suggested that the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. However, reports indicate that iQOO may use a customised version of the processor.

The Geekbench listing also revealed that the phone will feature 16GB of RAM and run on Android 16. In addition, the same model appeared on China’s 3C certification platform to confirm support for 100W fast charging.

Reports have also suggested that the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra will be offered in multiple storage variants, including 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB.

According to recent reports, the iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.83-inch flat OLED display with a 2K resolution. It is also tipped to feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

It is also expected to arrive in Light White, Shadow Black, and Wind Chaser colour options.

The smartphone is said to pack a massive 9,000mAh battery, which could become the largest battery ever offered on an iQOO Neo-series smartphone. For improved durability, the device is also expected to feature a metal frame along with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

  • It is likely to mirror China variant in terms of specification and launch could happen in India by October 2026.

Vivo X Fold 6 has taken another step towards its global debut. After appearing on multiple certification platforms in recent months, the upcoming Vivo foldable has now been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification database, indicating that its international launch could be getting closer. Here are more details.

According to tipster Anvin @ZionsAnvin on X, the Vivo X Fold 6 carrying the V2559 model number has received Bluetooth SIG certification.

The certification does not reveal any new hardware specifications of the smartphone. However, it confirms that the device complies with Bluetooth standards including support for Bluetooth specifications related to audio codecs, LE Audio, and Auracast. It also gives Vivo the official permission to use the Bluetooth name and logo in the phone’s packaging and marketing materials.

While Bluetooth SIG is not a government regulatory approval, it is a mandatory industry certification that ensures Bluetooth-enabled devices meet compatibility and quality standards within the Bluetooth ecosystem.

The latest Bluetooth SIG listing follows several earlier certifications for the Vivo X Fold 6. The global variant was recently spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification platform, suggesting that its international launch is approaching. Before that, the smartphone also appeared on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database.

Moreover, the same model number was listed on the European EEC certification platform in April.

If previous reports are accurate, the global version of the Vivo X Fold 6 will retain the same hardware as the model already launched in China.

The smartphone is expected to feature an 8.02-inch AMOLED foldable inner display along with a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display. It is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset. It is also rumoured to pack a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

For photography, the foldable is expected to feature a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system, comprising a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. It is also tipped to include two 20-megapixel selfie cameras with one housed on the cover display and the other on the foldable inner screen.

Other expected features include IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance, which could make the Vivo X Fold 6 one of the most durable foldable smartphones in the premium segment.

According to previous reports, the Vivo X Fold 6 could make its debut in India in October 2026. The foldable is expected to arrive as Vivo’s next flagship foldable smartphone and is tipped to be priced at over Rs 1,05,000 in the country.

Vivo has not yet confirmed the official launch date but the growing list of certifications suggests that an announcement may not be far away.

Samsung Unveils 200MP ISOCELL HPC Camera Sensor With DeepPix Technology for Better HDR, Zoom and Low-Light Photography

0
Samsung Unveils 200MP ISOCELL HPC Camera

Highlights

  • Samsung’s new 200MP ISOCELL HPC debuts DeepPix pixel design for brighter HDR, reduced noise, and better low‑light shots.
  • It supports single‑frame 16‑bit HDR across multiple zoom levels, plus 8K@30fps, 4K@180fps and FHD@360fps video recording.
  • Other specs include 1/1.3″ format, 0.6μm pixels, Tetra²pixel filter, Super QPD autofocus, Smart‑ISO Pro HDR and microlens + ARL tech for improved clarity.

Samsung has introduced its latest 200MP ISOCELL HPC smartphone camera sensor with several improvements focused on HDR photography, zoom performance, low-light imaging, and video recording. The new sensor features Samsung’s first DeepPix pixel architecture, which is designed to capture more light and deliver better overall image quality.

Samsung ISOCELL HPC Gets DeepPix Technology

The new ISOCELL HPC is based on Samsung’s ISOCELL technology but debuts the company’s new DeepPix architecture. According to Samsung, the new pixel design increases the Full Well Capacity (FWC) by 60 percent over the previous generation. This is achieved through Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) technology, which expands both the photodiode capacity and the shared floating diffusion.

As a result, the sensor is able to collect more light while reducing image noise, producing brighter highlights, deeper shadows, and a wider dynamic range in HDR images.

Samsung says the ISOCELL HPC also supports single-frame 16-bit HDR, enabling up to four times richer color expression compared to conventional HDR imaging. Instead of combining multiple exposures, the sensor captures HDR information in a single frame, helping preserve natural colours and fine details even in difficult lighting conditions such as bright sunlight or strong backlighting.

For video recording, the new sensor supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K video recording at up to 180fps. It can also record Full HD videos at up to 360fps without autofocus.

HDR Support Across Multiple Xoom Levels

One of the key highlights of the ISOCELL HPC is its HDR support across multiple in-sensor zoom levels. While many existing smartphone camera sensors limit HDR to certain zoom ranges, Samsung’s new sensor extends single-frame HDR support across 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, and 4x zoom levels.

The sensor also uses intelligent in-sensor downscaling to maintain image quality and dynamic range throughout the zoom range, offering more consistent results at different focal lengths.

Samsung ISOCELL HPC Specifications

The Samsung ISOCELL HPC features a 1/1.3-inch optical format with 0.6μm pixels and an effective resolution of 16,384 × 12,288 pixels. It comes equipped with Samsung’s Tetra²pixel colour filter, Super QPD autofocus, and Smart-ISO Pro HDR technology. The sensor supports RAW10, RAW12, RAW14, and RAW16 output formats.

Samsung has also added High Precision Microlens and High Transmittance ARL technologies, which help direct more light to each photodiode while reducing reflections. These technologies are expected to improve image clarity and colour accuracy across different lighting conditions.

As of now, it is unclear which device will be the first to feature the new 200MP ISOCELL HPC sensor.

Realme has already confirmed that the Realme 16x 5G will launch in India on August 12 at 12 PM IST. Ahead of its debut, a fresh leak has revealed new details about the upcoming smartphone. Tipster Sanju Choudhary @saaaanjjjuuu has shared an image that appears to show the retail box of the handset. Here are more details.

According to the tipster post, the leaked image shows the rear side of the Realme 16x 5G retail box. The image reveals the 6GB + 128GB variant with the model number RMX5270.

The leak reveals that the box MRP is Rs 54,999. However, this is unlikely to be the actual retail price, as smartphone brands often mention a much higher MRP on retail packaging than the expected market price.

The leaked retail box also reveals the accessories that will be included inside the package. Buyers can expect to get the handset, charger, USB data cable, SIM ejector tool, quick start guide, and a protective case in the box.

Since the device is reportedly positioned as an offline-focused model, the tipster believes it could launch at a price of under Rs 30,000.

Earlier reports suggested that the handset will be available in 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 256GB storage variants. While the company has not officially announced the pricing, previous leaks indicate that the smartphone could be priced under Rs 25,000 in India.

The Realme 16x 5G will be available in Blooming Brown and Blooming Silver colour options.

The company has also promised two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

For photography, the Realme 16x 5G will feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash and a multi-colour ring light. The camera system will support AI-powered features such as AI Ultra Clarity and AI Eraser. A selfie camera will be housed inside the front punch-hole cutout.

The smartphone is confirmed to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. According to the company, the battery can deliver 156.2 hours of music playback, 12.3 hours of Free Fire gameplay, 20.3 hours of YouTube video playback, or 19.1 hours of navigation on a single charge. Redmi Note 17 5G First Impressions: Seven things to note about the latest Note

0
Redmi Note 17 5G First Impressions

Highlights:

  • Redmi has officially released the Redmi Note 17 5G in the Indian market, and it goes on sale from Vivo has just released the Vivo S2 in the Indian market.
  • The Redmi Note 17 5G is actually the second series of Redmi Note series to be launched this year – the Redmi 15 series was launched earlier this year.
  • The Redmi 17 5G starts at Rs 27,999, and goes on sale on 12 August, 2026. Here is a quick look at seven notable features of the new Note.

There is a new Note in the Indian tech market, and we have it in our hands – the Redmi Note 17 5G. The Note series has been famous for its steady performance, making it the daily driver of millions of user. We will be seeing if the Redmi Note 17 5G (henceforth referred to as “Redmi Note 17” for reasons of brevity) continues this legacy, but as we get on with our review, here are seven features of the latest Note worth, well, noting:

Yes, it is another Note this year (no Note 16)

Xiaomi generally launches one Note series every year, but we are seeing two Note series in 2026. The Note 15 had been launched right at the beginning of the year, and now we have the Note 17.The Note series has also gone right from 15 to 17, skipping 16!

A massive AMOLED display at that price!

At a time when many brands are bringing LCD displays at the Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000 price point, the Redmi Note 17 features a massive and brilliant AMOLED display. It is 6.9 inches in size and comes with 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Very impressive, given soaring prices these days.

Monster battery

Xiaomi has referred to the Redmi Note 17 as “mAhster Edition.” And with good reason – the phone comes with a large 8000 mAh battery. The battery uses Silicon Carbon technology, allowing the phone to be 8.4 mm slim. Its charging speed is a rather modest 45W, although it can charge other devices at 22.5 W, which gives us proper power bank vibes! There is a 45W charger in the box too.

A spec sheet that fights on strong basics

That large display and high capacity battery apart, the Redmi Note 17 has broadly mid-segment specs. It runs on a lower mid-segment Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Generation 4 processor, and comes with 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable) and 6 GB and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

Photography is handled by a 50 megapixel main camera (no OIS) and a basic secondary sensor, with selfies being the responsibility of a 8 megapixel front facing camera.

There is an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IR port, and a single (impressively loud) speaker handles sound. The Redmi Note 17 runs on HyperOS 3 with features like HyperIsland (a sort of Dynamic Island), on top of Android 16, with an assurance of 4 years of software updates and 6 years of security patches. This is a phone specced for daily life than for benchmarks.

Big “phablet” vibes!

The Redmi Note 17 is a pretty big phone – it is 169.7 mm tall, which makes it one of the tallest in the market, and at 79.14 mm is wide as well. Although it is on the slim side at 8.4 mm and at 225 grams, relatively light for its size, this is really what many of us called a phablet – a blend of a tablet and a phone!

Shimmering, eye-catching design

It might be big, but the Redmi Note 17 is beautiful too. The phone is available in three shades – Starlight Purple, Dark Night and Arctic Blue. We got the Starlight Purple unit and its shimmering back, which shows shiny star trails at certain angles got a lot of attention.

The shimmer is a touch of class for what is otherwise a straight forward design, with a front dominated by a large, flat display and straight sides. The back and frame are carbonate but the front comes with Gorilla Glass 7i protection and the phone itself has an IP65 rating, which means it can survive splashes of water easily.

Higher price, but stronger than ever basics

The Redmi Note 17 starts at Rs 27,999 for its 6 GB/ 128 GB variant, with a 8 GB/ 128 GB variant priced at Rs 30,999. This is significantly higher than the Redmi Note 15 which had launched earlier this year from Rs 22,999 onwards, but then so much has changed price-wise since those times.

Stay tuned for a detailed review.

  • Samsung Galaxy A18 4G scores 738 on single-core and 2,025 on multi-core Geekbench tests.
  • The phone is revealed to be powered by MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
  • It runs Android 17 with One UI 9 and is expected to debut soon as a budget 4G-only device.

Samsung appears to be preparing to expand its budget smartphone lineup with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A18 4G. The upcoming handset has now been spotted on Geekbench, revealing its benchmark scores, chipset, and software version. Combined with its recent appearances on multiple certification platforms, the latest listing suggests the smartphone could make its official debut in the near future.

The Geekbench database shows that the Samsung Galaxy A18 4G scored 738 points in the single-core test and 2,025 points in the multi-core benchmark.

The listing also reveals the processor model number MT6789, which is associated with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The processor features six CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two performance cores running at 2.2GHz paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The Geekbench listing also reveals the software version. The Galaxy A18 4G is shown running Android 17, suggesting it could launch with One UI 9 pre-installed.

If this turns out to be accurate, it would become one of Samsung’s first smartphones outside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 series to ship with the latest software. Currently, One UI 9 is available in beta for the Galaxy S26 lineup, while the Galaxy S25 series is expected to receive the beta update soon.

Samsung Galaxy A18 4G – What Else We Know?

The smartphone has also appeared on several certification platforms in recent weeks, indicating that its launch is drawing closer. Since the Galaxy A17 4G was introduced in September last year, Samsung could follow a similar schedule for its successor this year. It is also worth noting that the Galaxy A17 4G was not launched in India.

As the Galaxy A18 4G is expected to be a 4G-only smartphone, it is likely to target the affordable segment.

Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the specifications, the Galaxy A18 4G is expected to continue the company’s focus on long-term software support. Notably, the predecessor Galaxy A17 4G was launched with a promise of six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

As Samsung has yet to announce the device officially, more details regarding its specifications, pricing, and availability are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
