Instagram has introduced a new limit on hashtag usage, allowing creators to add only up to five hashtags per post and Reel. The update was confirmed by Instagram head Adam Mosseri and comes nearly a month after the Meta-owned platform removed the feature that let users follow hashtags. Here’s everything creators should know.

Instagram Hashtag Limit

In a post shared on Instagram’s official @creators account, the platform said it found that “using fewer (up to 5), more targeted hashtags rather than generic ones can improve both your content’s performance people’s experience on Instagram.”

Alongside the change, Instagram also shared guidance on how creators can optimise hashtag usage. The platform advised users to stick to hashtags that are directly relevant to their content. For example, beauty creators are encouraged to use beauty-related hashtags so that users interested in similar content can discover their posts more easily.

Instagram also warned that broad or unrelated hashtags such as #reels or #explore do not significantly help content appear in areas like Explore. In some cases, the company noted such hashtags may even hurt a post’s overall performance.

Adam Mosseri further addressed the update on the Instagram Advice channel, explaining that while hashtags can help with search visibility, they “don’t increase your reach.” He also encouraged creators to “focus on working out what kind of content resonates with your audience.”

Although hashtags continue to play a role in search and content discovery, Instagram has been trying to curb hashtag stuffing. It is the common practice where users add a large number of often irrelevant hashtags to boost reach, even when they have little connection to the actual content.

Instagram recently rolled out a new feature aimed at giving users greater control over their Reels feed. The “Your Algorithm” feature shows users what Instagram believes is most important to the user.

Noise has released its 2025 Year-End Wellness Report, offering insights into how health and fitness habits across India have evolved over the past year. The report suggests that wellness in India is increasingly shifting away from short-term fitness goals toward a more preventive, habit-focused lifestyle.

Releasing the report, Amit Khatri, Co-founder of Noise, said, “Wearables have quietly become part of everyday life and the use-cases are expanding in every corner of urban India. We are witnessing a wellness paradigm shift. From Bangalore’s power users to Pune’s balance-seekers to Hyderabad’s professionals integrating health with productivity, consumer health habits in India point to a clear shift towards preventive healthcare through wearables. From prioritizing rest over the weekend, to nearly 90% of users preferring outdoor movement, and millions actively tracking recovery, the focus is no longer on aesthetics alone. Instead, Indians are investing in long-term wellbeing and longevity — and that’s the India we see emerging.”

According to the findings, eight out of ten Indians now view wellness as a long-term investment. Preventive healthcare is also gaining momentum, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18 percent. The rising adoption of practices such as yoga, mindfulness, and AI-powered personalisation points to a broader transition from burnout-driven routines to balanced living with greater emphasis on understanding the body rather than pushing physical limits.

The report highlights a noticeable rise in early-day activity with Indians recording 21 percent more steps during morning hours, indicating stronger discipline toward starting the day actively. In contrast, weekends showed a different pattern with steps and calories burned dropping by 40 percent, reflecting a conscious approach to rest and recovery.

When it comes to workout preferences, outdoor fitness continues to dominate with 90 percent of users choosing to exercise outside. However, regional differences remain evident as users in Delhi showed a preference for indoor workouts. Clearly, this is largely due to air quality concerns.

Running emerged as the most popular fitness activity nationwide with two out of five Indians selecting it as their primary form of exercise. In Delhi, weight training stood out with one in seven residents focusing on weightlifting. Sleep habits also revealed interesting trends, with 37 percent of Indians identified as night owls who remain active past midnight. This is significantly higher compared to the UK, where only 13 percent fall into the same category.

In 2025, Indians collectively logged an estimated 99 trillion steps. According to the report, this distance is equivalent to travelling to the Moon and back 85 times. The data also highlights regional variations with residents of Andaman recording 40 percent more steps than those in Tripura.

Based on aggregated and anonymised data from the NoiseFit app, the report indicates a broader cultural shift in India toward integrating physical movement, quality sleep, mental well-being, and recovery into everyday routines. Technology is playing a key role in building awareness and supporting long-term behaviour change.

FAQs

Q1. What key fitness trend did the Noise 2025 Wellness Report highlight?

PS6 Handheld Rumours Grow as Leak Suggests Sony Is Preparing Developers for Low-Power Hardware

0

Highlights

  • Leaks suggest Sony is preparing developers for low-power hardware.
  • It points to a handheld PS6 alongside the standard PS6 console.
  • Developers are being asked to optimise games for eight CPU threads with the handheld rumoured to use four Zen 6c cores plus two low-power cores for background tasks.

Speculation around Sony’s next-generation PlayStation hardware continues to build. The latest claims suggest Sony is already guiding game developers to account for more limited CPU performance. If true, this strongly points towards portable hardware arriving alongside the standard PS6 console. Here’s everything we know based on recent leaks.

PS6 Handheld Device

Recently, YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead (MLID) claimed that Sony has been encouraging studios to optimise their games for systems with varying CPU, GPU, and memory capabilities. According to MLID, this strategy also ties into recent changes seen on the PlayStation 5.

Sony has reportedly been pushing developers to support Low Power and Power Saver modes with Power Saver Mode now included by default in the PlayStation 5 software development kit. MLID adds that these power-efficiency features are currently being prioritised over PS5 Pro-specific optimisations, hinting that Sony is preparing its ecosystem for future hardware compatibility.

This approach aligns with earlier rumours that Sony is planning two versions of the PS6, which would include a traditional home console and a lower-power handheld aimed at portable gaming.

The leak also highlights a specific technical requirement, claiming that developers are being asked to ensure games can run using just eight CPU threads. The rumoured PS6 handheld is said to feature four Zen 6c CPU cores, offering eight threads for gameplay, along with two additional low-power cores dedicated to background tasks. Meanwhile, the standard PS6 console would reportedly rely on a significantly more powerful CPU setup.

An internal document referenced in the leak reportedly states that “games may run in environments with different CPU configurations,” further supporting the idea of a multi-device PS6 lineup. By introducing these constraints early, Sony could make it easier for future titles to scale smoothly across both home and portable PlayStation hardware.

In any case, Sony is yet to make any official announcements. We can expect more details to emerge as the possible launch window is finalised internally at Sony.

Q1. What do the latest leaks suggest about Sony’s PS6 hardware lineup?

Answer. Leaks indicate Sony may launch two versions of the PS6: a traditional home console and a lower-power handheld device.

Q2. How is Sony preparing developers for the rumoured handheld?

Truecaller has introduced a new voicemail feature for Android users in India. The new feature enables users to receive voice messages from missed calls along with readable text transcriptions. The feature is currently available free of cost to all users in the country. Truecaller Premium subscribers can unlock an enhanced experience through the Truecaller Assistant. Here’s everything you need to know about the new feature.

Truecaller Voicemail Feature for India

The company announced the rollout through a forum post, explaining that the voicemail feature allows callers to leave a message when a call goes unanswered. These voice messages are recorded by Truecaller and automatically converted into text. It makes it easier for users to understand the purpose of a call without listening to the entire recording or calling back immediately.

According to Truecaller, voicemail recordings are stored locally on the user’s device, offering greater control and privacy over voice messages. The feature also includes smart call categorisation, built-in spam filtering, adjustable playback speed, and AI-powered transcription support in 12 Indian languages.

These include Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Nepali, Punjabi, Sanskrit, and Urdu.

How To Use Truecaller’s Voicemail Feature?

The voicemail feature is live for all Truecaller users in India including those on the free tier. However, users must ensure that call forwarding is activated on their number for the feature to work. After setup, voicemail transcriptions may take a short time to appear. All received messages can be accessed through the dedicated Voicemail tab within the app.

Users are also required to install the latest version of the Truecaller app to access this functionality.

Truecaller has also confirmed that Premium users will benefit from an upgraded Truecaller Assistant experience. This assistant can answer calls on behalf of users, interact with callers, deliver personalised greetings, and provide more advanced call-handling options.

As of now, the voicemail feature is limited to Truecaller users in India. The company has stated that it plans to expand the availability of this feature to additional countries in the near future after gathering user feedback and completing further testing.

To no one’s surprise, Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about smartphones of 2026. We are getting fresh leaks almost every day adding more clarity on what to expect from the phone. However, nothing much other than the dimensions is particularly known about the design of the first foldable iPhone.

After earlier reports hinted at an unusual form factor, newly surfaced CAD-based renders now reveal detailed dimensions and screen specifications of the upcoming device.

iPhone Fold CAD Renders Leak

The iPhone Fold has appeared for the first time in CAD-based renders, sourced from design drawings intended for accessory manufacturers such as case makers. German publication iPhone-ticker.de reportedly gained access to these CAD files and shared the initial render, offering an early look at Apple’s foldable phone design.

According to the leaked details, the inner folding display of the iPhone Fold measures 7.76 inches diagonally and carries a resolution of 2713 x 1920 pixels. The outer cover display is said to be 5.49 inches in size with a resolution of 1422 x 2088 pixels, resulting in a distinctly unusual aspect ratio. Dimension-wise, the device reportedly measures 120.6 x 83.8 x 9.6mm when folded, expanding to 120.6 x 167.6 x 4.8mm when fully unfolded.

The renders also reveal camera placement details. The inner display appears to feature an under-display selfie camera, while the outer screen is expected to include a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.

On the rear, the iPhone Fold is shown with a dual-camera setup housed within an oval-shaped camera bar, similar in style to the iPhone Air design.

In line with previous leaks, Apple appears to have deliberately avoided a square-shaped inner display. When unfolded, the iPhone Fold is expected to open in landscape orientation. This design choice could allow seamless compatibility with existing iPad apps right from launch, potentially eliminating the need for developers to optimise their apps specifically for the foldable screen.

Launch Timeline

When it comes to launch, analysts and experts have been pointing towards a possible gap between announcement and market availability.

It has been repeatedly reported that the iPhone Fold could be officially unveiled in September 2026. However, several recent reports have added that the device may not reach consumers until early 2027.

Q2. How does Apple’s iPhone Fold design choice benefit app compatibility?

Answer. The iPhone Fold opens in landscape orientation, allowing seamless use of existing iPad apps without extra optimisation.

Q3. What cameras are shown in the iPhone Fold leaked renders?

Anwer. The inner screen features an under-display selfie camera, the outer screen has a hole‑punch front camera, and the rear houses a dual-camera setup in an oval bar.
