Xiaomi appears to be preparing more devices for global markets as a smartphone and an unknown Redmi tablet have been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification database. The Xiaomi phone is rumoured to be part of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, while the exact name of the Redmi tablet is still unknown.
The latest certification provides some information about both devices, although their official marketing names and launch details have not been revealed yet.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Global Variant Spotted on IMDA
The Xiaomi smartphone has appeared on Singapore’s IMDA database with the model number 2609BPN61G. It is listed as a mobile terminal with the description identifying it as a 5G mobile phone. The listing also confirms support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
Another Xiaomi model number 2611FPNFAG was previously spotted on the same IMDA database. It was initially reported to be associated with the Xiaomi 18 Pro. However, the tipster has now identified this model number as the global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max instead.
This means the newly spotted 2609BPN61G could potentially be linked to the global Xiaomi 18 Pro, although the exact identity has not been officially confirmed.
Unknown Redmi Tablet Also Appears on IMDA
Alongside the Xiaomi smartphone, an upcoming Redmi tablet has also been listed on Singapore’s IMDA database. The tablet carries the model number 26104RPF2G and is categorised as a mobile terminal. Its product description identifies it specifically as a tablet computer.
The same Redmi device had previously appeared on the EEC certification database but its marketing name was not revealed there either.
As a result, the tablet’s official moniker remains unknown for now.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Global Battery Could Be Smaller
Separately, tipster Kacper Skrzypek @kacskrz on X has claimed the global versions of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series could come with smaller batteries than their Chinese counterparts.
The global Xiaomi 18 Pro is tipped to feature a 6,000mAh battery, compared with the 7,000mAh battery offered by the Chinese model. Meanwhile, the global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max could reportedly pack a 7,050mAh battery. This would be considerably smaller than the 8,500mAh battery in the Chinese version.
Also CN 7000 mAh, not 8000 mAh.
