Twitter embarrasses & flags Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos, labels them ‘Fake’

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

HIGHLIGHTS

* The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photo debate is back again.
* This time it’s on Twitter and in a rather funny way.
* A Community Note on Twitter has flagged the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon feature as “fake”.

It looks like the debate over Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos isn’t over yet. Despite explaining how the Galaxy S23 Ultra is capable of capturing clear moon photos with 100x zoom, people don’t seem to be convinced. And this time it’s even worse as Twitter itself has flagged the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos as “fake”.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Samsung has been running an ad on Twitter about the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon capturing capabilities. The Twitter ad reads, “There is no dark side of the moon with the #GalaxyS23Ultra. Capture your night skies and share with us by replying to this thread with #SharetheEpic.”

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Just below the ad, there’s a Twitter Community Note that says, Samsung phones digitally “fake” images taken of the Moon to make them appear sharper.” For those unaware, Community Notes are essentially fact checking information provided by contributors on Twitter.

Contributors have the liberty to add notes on any tweet and if the required number of contributors rate that note as helpful, then Twitter will publicly show it below the tweet.

Just like how contributors can add notes below tweets, anyone can report it, and the tweet author can also request for additional review. But considering how this particular note appears on an ad that Samsung paid for, it’s somewhat ironical. You may not see the ad right now but one David ImeI took a screenshot and shared it on Twitter.

Galaxy S23 Ultra Moon Photos

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Coming back to whether the moon photos captured by the Galaxy S23 Ultra indeed are real or not – Samsung has already denied such allegations. Yes, there is some work done inside to produce those clear images but what Samsung says is that it doesn’t add any image overlay.

It’s a mix of multiple things working together by using advanced technologies to get the highest resolution image and it’s further enhanced by using Al to get the final result which is a clear image of the moon.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

The Community Note on Twitter probably meant that but the explanation behind the moon photos can get more complex. Community Notes are currently available only in select countries including the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. So it’s very likely that you won’t see the note on Twitter.

Samsung details how its moon photos work with Scene Optimizer Feature

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Samsung has now responded to these accusations by explaining how its moon photos work and why they aren’t completely fake. They use super resolution technologies and AI technology to produce high-quality moon images. The phone doesn’t apply any image overlaying to the photos; instead, the AI-based scene optimization technology recognizes the moon as the main object and takes multiple shots for multi-frame composition.

Samsung Scene Optimizer Feature

Samsung’s Scene Optimizer feature uses advanced AI to recognize objects and provide the best results to users. With the Galaxy S21 series, the camera now recognizes the moon as a specific object during photo-taking and enhances details using its detail enhancement engine.

The camera system utilizes deep learning-based AI technology and multi-frame processing to further enhance details when taking photos of the moon. Learn more about the steps, processes, and technologies involved in capturing high-quality images of the moon.

AI Deep Learning for Moon Object Recognition

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Samsung has developed an AI engine capable of recognizing the moon in various shapes and details, from full to crescent. It uses a deep learning model to detect the presence and location of the moon in images taken from Earth.

The AI model continues to learn and can recognize the moon even in images that were not used in training. With a simple square box denoting the area occupied by the moon, this technology is set to revolutionize the way we view and study the moon.

The Brightness Control Process and Capturing the Most Stable Images Possible
Samsung has developed a process to capture the most stable and clear images of the moon. The device recognizes the moon and controls the display brightness to optimize clarity. Even in early evening, the device will darken the background to enhance the moon’s visibility.

The Zoom Lock feature reduces shaking effects without a tripod using OIS and VDIS technologies. It activates automatically when zooming in on the moon or maintaining focus for more than 1.5 seconds. The border and display change to yellow, locking the moon in place for truly epic shots.

Samsung’s AI Powered Detail Enhancement to Capture the Moon

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Samsung’s Galaxy device allows users to capture a bright and clear image of the moon. Once the moon reaches an appropriate brightness level, the user can press the capture button. The camera then utilizes Scene Optimizer to determine whether to apply the detail enhancement engine through AI processing.

Multiple pictures are taken and synthesized into a single, bright image with reduced noise through Multi-frame Processing.

Finally, the deep-learning-based AI detail enhancement engine of Scene Optimizer is used to eliminate remaining noise and enhance image details even further.

Scene Optimizer availability

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s moon photos

Samsung’s Scene Optimizer is exclusively available on the Galaxy S20 and above models, as well as all Galaxy Z Fold series.

Explaining about AI Technology to Produce High-Quality Images of the Moon, Samsung, said Samsung continues to improve Scene Optimizer to reduce any potential confusion that may occur between the act of taking a picture of the real moon and an image of the moon.

Faqs on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s Moon

1) How do Samsung moon shots work?

Ans) Moon shots on Samsung phones use the periscope telephoto camera. But if we scientifically analyse this, there are two conflicting points of view. The moon is approximately 384,000km away.

The distance makes it difficult for even a 10X sensor to accurately capture all of the details. However, sensors are good at recognising bright objects. The moon is objectively the brightest object you see in the night sky.

The long-range periscope telephoto cameras capture really bright subjects easily. If you’re wondering why it’s easier to capture a moon at 50X or 100X than a swooping landscape at 30X, it’s because sensors can capture bright subjects better.

As a result, the images still retain organic detail despite the heavy crop-in. With smartphone cameras, half of the end result depends on image processing in these times.
Smartphone camera hardware is improving but is undeniably smaller than actual camera hardware. We’re only approaching the 1″ size for the main sensors. Most secondary sensors are still stuck at smaller than 1/2″ sizes.

Companies are currently prioritizing software X processing to maximize image quality as it is more challenging for them to frequently upgrade their hardware. Software is responsible for several image enhancements.

Software is responsible for artificial sharpening, noise reduction algorithms, choosing a target white and black point, setting the right ISO and shutter speed, reaching a balance with target exposure, and more.

Not to forget that software is entirely responsible for high dynamic range capture, where the software intelligently fuses multiple images taken at various exposure levels. It blends the images together into one evenly exposed shot with proper shadows (darker regions like trees or buildings) and highlights (bright skies and lights). Recently, Al recognition also started becoming rather popular.

2) Are the moon shots fake?

Ans) The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC’s ISP is a great example of Al recognition. Prior to this, Pixels could do it with their Custom ISPs.

Using Machine Learning algorithms, Al recognises everyday objects, hair, trees, skies, water bodies, etc. and fine-tunes these in the end result. As a result, the photos look much cleaner and more presentable. Some even have dedicated food modes.

Similar to the existing Al enhancements that are based on subject recognition, the moon is an easy subject to recognise for the built-in algorithms. It’s a combination of both Samsung’s software processing and the 8 Gen 2’s excellent new ISP. This is where the controversy about Samsung’s moon shots begins and ends. A new post on Reddit claims that Samsung’s moon shots are fake. There’s no clear-cut answer to this, but not all of the moon shots that come out of Samsung phones are fake.

There are two scenarios to consider. In the first, you point your phone at the sky, and it recognises the moon. Here, Samsung does not superimpose an artificial image of a pre-saved moon.

Once Al detects the tiny blob of light in the sky, it applies sharpness and locks the target exposure to the moon to make the shot look more presentable. It identifies the moon’s details, enhances them, and adds artificial texture to the real subject.

Samsung confirms the use of Al to enhance moon shots with the scene optimiser on.
Since it’s going through a machine-learning algorithm and improving image quality from training data, it’s not a fake photo.

IMG_1218 IMG_1219

Vivo X90 Pro features the ZEISS 1-inch Main Camera along with Industry’s largest IMX989 sensor, which brings increased light sensitivity to capture high-detail and clear images in extreme low light.

The new sensor has a photosensitive area increased by 77% and light intake capacity by 43% which allows it to capture brighter and cleaner night images. It also features one of the Industry’s best 50MP Portrait Camera with a large IMX758 Sensor comprising a large aperture of f/1.6 with OIS.

With the support of the stabilization system, an exclusive large-aperture lens, and 4-in-1 sensor technology, X90 Pro can click artistic portraits with more subtle details and smoother transitions between subject and background, even in extreme low-light scenes.

X90 Pro introduces independent optical image stabilization (OIS) technology, developed by vivo, allowing for more intelligent and precise stabilization correction compared to standard OIS. It also supports Active Centering OIS System with CIPA Level 4 standard stabilization, significantly reducing smears between frames and motion blur.

vivo X90 features a 50MP VCS True Color main camera with IMX866 sensor, a 12MP Portrait camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera brings spectrum computation technology introduced by vivo & Sony jointly that makes image data received by the sensor look similar to what the naked eye sees, thereby delivering more authentic colors.

Compared to the previous generation, it now has a 20% improvement in noise reduction and a 15% improvement in color reproduction to ensure color consistency.

Both smartphones also come with the new generation Pro Imaging Chip V2, which works in sync with the smartphone’s primary chipset. The advancements in the new generation enable users to capture videos in extreme low light conditions, offering excellent noise reduction for Night videos while consuming less power.

In addition, the V2 chip’s Game Frame Interpolation makes playing games at 90 frames per second run as smoothly as playing games at 120 frames per second.

For enthusiasts who love to capture the star-lit sky, X90 Pro now also brings the new Handheld Astro mode, eliminating the need for a tripod to capture the starry sky full of stars with the landscape.

Along with this, smartphones have the capabilities to capture motion pictures in both day and night conditions. The Pro Sports and Night sports mode has a Zero Shutter Lag Motion Snapshot feature that combines the high-speed shutter and motion detection algorithm, which can instantly freeze the frame, making subjects look clear without any blur in motion scenarios.

Vivo and ZEISS’ co-engineered Professional Imaging features

X90 series are the latest devices coming out of the vivo and ZEISS Imaging Partnership, which has been in the works for nearly three years. It brings a number of advancements and Industry first features to provide superior photography and videography experience.

Bringing the Industry’s best portrait features, the X90 series now brings the newly added ZEISS Cine-flare Portrait that simulates the effect which people usually see in many classic films. Under a strong light source in the background, it generates a nice-looking flare. Along with this, the smartphones also feature Cinematic, Biotar, Planar, Distagon, & Sonnar from the previous generation that are now available even in the front camera.

To enable consumers to capture the true-to-life details, the X90 series features the updated ZEISS Natural Color 2.0 which has improved color cast accuracy, and saturation adjustment, making the pictures look more real and natural.

ZEISS Natural Color 2.0 is assisted by AI Perception Engine 2.0 which automatically adjusts live exposure and white balance to capture images that are as close to what the human eye can see.

For extreme clarity and imaging experience, the number of lenses on the X90 Pro has been increased to 8 (7P + 1G) with ZEISS T* Coating on 7 lens pieces compared to 2 in the previous generation. ZEISS T* Coating in 7 lenses reduces light reflection between the lenses, thereby eliminating ghosting, & producing cleaner images with less glare.

In addition, the X90 series brings the all-new ZEISS Landscape and Architecture Mode. It comes with the Miniature Effect feature and Automatic Perspective Correction (APC) that gives a new creative approach to photography.

The Miniature Effect feature is realized in Tilt-shift and introduces algorithm blur during imaging to turn the real world into a miniature landscape. Automatic Perspective Correction enables consumers to see tall building perspective correction in preview, resulting in horizontally and vertically aligned images in a single click.

Dual-Chip Flagship Performance

Both X90 and X90 Pro come with a dual-chip flagship chipset, and large batteries with superfast charging capabilities to provide an unparalleled user experience.

The dual-chip setup comprises India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset paired with a Pro Imaging V2 chip for ground-breaking flagship performance. X90 Pro comes with LPDDR5X, while vivo X90 also comes with LPDDR5, paired with UFS 4.0 storage. In addition, X90 Pro has a large VC of 4002mm², 35% larger over the X80 Pro, the largest ever for X series phones so far. With the help of multiple cooling channels and a 24-layer cooling structure, both phones can run at optimal temperatures even at peak processing.

X90 series brings TÜV Rheinland-certified 120W FlashCharge, which has 24 dimensions of security protection for the first time in the vivo X series. vivo X90 houses a 4810 mAh battery and the vivo X90 Pro comes with a 4870 mAh battery with 50W Wireless FlashCharge as well.

The 3D curved screen features a larger viewing area, 1.07 billion colors, 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut HDR10+ support, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, making the smartphones ideal for binge-watching and gaming.

The display also has a new ZEISS Natural color mode to give you accurate and more natural screen colors.

X90 Series brings 3 Level Eye Protection for the first time at both hardware and software levels. The chip-level Smart Eye Protection Mode, developed by vivo and MediaTek, intelligently monitors and controls the proportion of blue light on a real-time basis while balancing the colors.

Furthermore, the display is made of a new luminescent material with pulse width modulation of up to 2160Hz, which also effectively reduces blue light, providing the ultimate eye protection.

The smartphones also boast a Dual Stereo Speaker setup and an X-Axis Linear Motor for a more immersive audiovisual experience and rich tactile feedback.

5) Vivo is a company from which country?

Ans) The Vivo X90 will have three cameras placed up at the back. A 12MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP portrait sensor will be used in addition to the 50MP core sensor. The Vivo X90 Pro, on the other hand, has a 50 MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor.

8) How is the Vivo X90 Pro battery?

Ans) The X90 Pro has a 4,780-mAh battery, which can be replenished with a bundled 120-watt charger or a 50-watt wireless charger (sold separetly). The phone offers two charging modes, fast charging and balanced mode. Vivo says the X90 Pro can be charged to 50% in 8 minutes and 10 seconds using the former mode. Balanced mode is apparently ideal for everyday charging, and takes 29 minutes to revitalize the battery to a full charge, according to Vivo.

9) What is the X90 Pro’s odd design choice on the back?

Ans) For a phone in 2023, the X90 Pro’s design appears relatively ordinary from the front. The rectangular display has curved edges and features a a punch-hole cutout in the center housing the selfie camera. But flip it over, and you’ll see a narrow bar running through the width of the chassis (below the camera module).

No, it’s not a camera bar as seen on Google’s Pixel 7 lineup, it’s simply a flat bar emblazoned with the words “Xtreme Imagination” running across the rear of the phone.
Frankly, it makes for a bizarre choice that undermines the overall design of an otherwise sleek phone. Above this perplexing bar, is the circular camera bump housing three lenses. There’s also bold vivo branding at the bottom.

10) What is the X90 Pro’s Zeiss lenses?

Ans) Vivo says this phone gives you a piece of pro photography equipment in your pocket. That’s why it makes sense that the company has flexed its camera partnership with Zeiss, a 176-year old company considered a pioneer in optical photography. There are three cameras on the X90 Pro: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel portrait camera and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens.

11) What are the New Vivo X90 Pro features?

Ans) Vivo changed an array of features from the phone’s predecessor, the V80 Pro. Apart from swapping out the chip from Qualcomm to a Mediatek one, it ditched the ultrasonic fingerprint reader, telephoto camera and reduced display resolution. The 3D Sonic Max feature was one that set the X80 Pro apart from a number of Android flagships, so it’s disappointing to see it go.

WhatsApp now lets you use the same account on up to four devices: How to use this highly requested feature

Whatsapp New Update

HIGHLIGHTS

* WhatsApp has rolled out a new update, which lets you use the same account on as many as four devices.
* The feature requires users to scan the WhatsApp QR code from their primary device to set things up.
* The update is rolling out gradually to everyone, and is a stable update.

Last year, WhatsApp introduced a Companion Mode, which allowed users to connect a second phone to their account. Later on, the feature received a buff, and an option to connect as many as four phones was rolled out to those in beta (on Android). The company has now rolled out the same feature to both Android and iOS users as a stable update.

WhatsApp

After updating your WhatsApp to the latest stable build, you will finally be able to make use of your same WhatsApp account on up to four devices, no matter whether your primary device is an iOS device or an Android device.

Whatsapp New Update

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook and Instagram, announced that WhatsApp is finally introducing multi-device login support, allowing users to access the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones.

According to WhatsApp, this feature will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks. Previously, users were limited to one WhatsApp account on a single phone and multiple companion desktop devices.

Whatsapp New Update

This new multi device login support feature will allows users to link up to four devices to their account. Each linked device will function independently, even when the primary device is not connected to the internet, ensuring that messages continue to be received on the independent devices.

However, if the primary device remains inactive for an extended period, WhatsApp will automatically log out of all companion devices. The four additional devices could be smartphones, PCs, or a combination of both, giving users flexibility in accessing their WhatsApp accounts across different devices.

Here’s how you can make use of this nifty feature.

Connect companion phones to WhatsApp

Whatsapp New Update

Meta has confirmed that there will be multiple ways to add companion devices to your WhatsApp account. Currently, one method involves entering the phone number on the secondary device and then inputting the OTP (One-Time Password) received on the primary device.

Alternatively, users can add a companion device by scanning a QR code on the primary device. This means that users can have a WhatsApp account on an Android or iOS device and then add a companion device, either an Android or iOS device.

Whatsapp New Update

Meta has also assured us that the update is being rolled out globally and will reach all devices in the coming weeks. To access this feature, it’s important to download and install the latest version of WhatsApp on both your primary and companion smartphones. Both devices should have up-to-date versions of WhatsApp to utilize this feature effectively.

Use the same WhatsApp account on up to four devices now

Whatsapp New Update

* First up, if you want to make use of the new feature, you will need to update your WhatsApp to the latest build from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, depending on which smartphone you are using.

* After updating the device, you have to install WhatsApp on the other devices that you want to use WhatsApp on (the maximum limit is three for the add-on devices).

* After installing WhatsApp, open the app, and you will be greeted with the familiar sign up screen. Do note that you don’t have to input the phone number associated with your primary WhatsApp account on the add-on devices (we tried and got logged out from our primary. Yes! We took one for you). Instead, you need to tap on the three-dot menu on the top-right side of the app and click on the Link option.

* Tapping the option will open up a QR code, which you need to scan using the WhatsApp on your primary device. This is more or less the same procedure that you follow when you sync your WhatsApp with WhatsApp Web, so the process should not be too daunting for you, if you are already making use of WhatsApp Web.

* There you have it. It will take a couple of seconds for the contacts and chats to sync, and you are good to go.

* If you want to make use of the same WhatsApp account on more devices, you have to repeat the same steps.

* Do note that the primary device which you have used to set your WhatsApp up has to be connected to the internet at least once in the past 14 days, and if it is inactive, the remaining three devices will log you out of WhatsApp.

* In the coming weeks, WhatsApp is also planning to enable a feature that will let you enter your phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive a one-time code, which you can use on the add-on phones to enable device linking.

* It becomes our responsibility to make readers aware of the potential security flaw that might pop up with this feature. It is advisable to keep a check of the devices that are linked to your account, as all your contacts and chat can literally be synced to any device by the click of a button now. If you often hand your device over to people, do check the linked devices in the settings menu the moment you receive your device back. After all, it’s better safe than sorry.

Whatsapp New Update

Faqs on Whatsapp New Update

1) What is the latest feature of WhatsApp ?

Ans) WhatsApp has announced a major new feature that will allow users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices at the same time. This means that users can access their WhatsApp account on a second phone without having to log out of their primary device. One of the most highly requested features, as per WhatsApp, the multi-device functionality will let user link your phone as one of up to four additional devices juts like how it’s done with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets and desktops.

“Linking phones as companion devices makes messaging easier. Now you can switch between phones without signing out and pick up your chats where you left off. Or if you’re a small business owner, additional employees are now able to respond to customers directly from their phones under the same WhatsApp Business account,” WhatsApp wrote in a blog post.

The new feature has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.  It will be available on both Android and iOS devices, and will allow users to access their chats and other account information from multiple phones or tablets simultaneously.

WhatsApp is also making it easier to link the companion devices. Over the coming weeks, it will roll out an alternative and more accessible way to link to companion devices. It will be done by entering your phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive a one-time code, which you can use on your phone to enable device linking. Currently, you can link your device by scanning a QR code.

The introduction of this feature is a significant improvement to WhatsApp’s existing multi-device support, which only allows users to use the app on one phone at a time. With the new feature, users can seamlessly switch between devices without losing their chats or other data.

WhatsApp has emphasized that privacy and security will not be compromised with this new feature. All messages and calls will continue to be end-to-end encrypted, and you will be automatically log you out of all companion devices if your primary device is inactive for a long period.

2) WhatsApp users can now link up to four devices with same account. Details ?

Ans) While it will be helpful for those who use different phones and want the same WhatsApp account on all of them, WhatsApp sees this as a valuable feature for small businesses, allowing multiple employees to send and receive messages from the same business number on different phones.

With this update, the messages, up to a year, will be synced across the different phones. So, even if your one phone is switched off, you can still access your messages on other phones, as each phone connects individually. All your chats, media, and calls will be end-to-end encrypted on every phone. If your primary device remains inactive for a long time, our WhatsApp will automatically log you out of all the companion phones.

Instead of entering your phone number and logging in as usual during setup, you can tap on a new “link to existing account” feature. You will then see a QR code that can be scanned by your primary phone through the “link a device” option in settings, and you will be logged in to the second phone.

This feature will be available on both WhatsApp for Android and iOS.

Faqs on Realme 11 series

1) What are the specifications of Realme 11 Pro +?

Ans) According to the well-known Chinese tipster, the 11 Pro+ will be powered by the MediaTek Dimesnity 7000 series chipsets. Reportedly, Realme 11 Pro+ will not come with the existing Dimensity 7020 and Dimensity 7200 chipsets but a new Dimensity 7000 series SoC from MediaTek. Apart from this, Digital Chat Station has yet to reveal any further information.

The Realme 11 Pro+ has also cleared the TENAA certifications, and the listing has shed light on several smartphone specifications. According to the listing, the 11 Pro+ bears the RMX3740 model number. It will feature an FHD+, 120Hz curved AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will flaunt a triple-rear camera setup, including a 200MP Samsung HPX primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, it will have a 16MP selfie camera.

The listing also confirmed that the smartphone would have a 4,680mAh dual-cell battery and 100W fast charging support. The handset will reportedly offer up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It also runs Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 out of the box.

2) What is Realme 11 Pro + Moon Mode ?

Ans) Realme 11 Pro+ is confirmed to come with a dedicated Moon mode for clicking detailed, high-resolution pictures of the moon. As you can see in the picture shared by Jessie, the image of the moon appears quite detailed and sharp, with craters, etc., visible. The Weibo post doesn’t reveal anything else about the camera setup, but we can safely assume that the camera setup also features a telephoto lens. Previous reports have confirmed that the Realme 11 Pro+ will have a 200MP primary camera.

3) Is Realme 11 5G Launch Imminent?

Ans) The Realme 11 5G is expected to launch soon in China and other markets. The device might launch later this year in India as well. Ahead of the launch, the 11 5G has been spotted on the BIS website with the model number RMX3751. There is another Realme smartphone with the model number RMX3750. However, the moniker of the phone is unknown at the moment.

The 11 5G was spotted on TENAA as well. The listing revealed the design of the phone, which seems to be similar to the 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ 5G. There is a huge camera module on the back. The circular-shaped camera module has two visible cutouts and an LED flash module. The listing did not reveal any details about the camera sensors.

On the front, the phone has a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen. Unlike the Pro models, which will sport a curved screen, the 11 5G has a flat display. We can also see the power and volume keys on the right side of the phone. Other details about the 11 5G are unknown at the moment. The phone is expected to launch alongside the 11 Pro series next month in China. We will share more details as and when available.

4) What are the details of Realme 11 pro chipset ?

Ans) Digital Chat Station hasn’t mentioned the name of the chipset that will be seen on the upcoming Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+. The tipster only revealed that the Realme 11 Pro series smartphones will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7000 series chipset.

Also, another leak reveals the design of the Realme 11 Pro Plus and suggests that it will feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL PX sensor and will feature a leahter design language.
MediaTek, as of now, offers Dimensity 7020 and Dimensity 7200 under its 7000 series.

However, it appears that Realme will not opt for either of the two for its upcoming Realme 11 Pro series. Instead, the company will use a new chipset which is expected to be unveiled soon under the Dimensity 7000 series by Taiwanese company – MediaTek.

Apart from it, the tipster hasn’t revealed anything in terms of the specifications about the upcoming Realme smartphones. However, the Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ have already cleared TENAA
and 3C certifications, so some of the specifications of these devices are already known.

As per TENAA, the Realme 11 Pro+ has the model number RMX3740 and it will feature a 120Hz Curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will be equipped with a 4680mAh dual-cell battery and 100W
fast charging support.

The Realme 11 Pro+ will offer a triple-rear camera setup including a 200MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The 200MP sensor on the device will be a Samsung HPX sensor. It will offer a 16MP front shooter for video calls and selfies.

Talking about the Realme 11 Pro, the smartphone has the model number RMX3770 and will feature a display similar to that of its elder sibling. The Realme 11 Pro will sport a 4780mAh battery unit and will support 67W fast charging technology.

The Realme 11 Pro will also offer a triple-rear camera setup. The primary shooter on the device will include a 100MP sensor which will be accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. The smartphone will come in leather finish and will be available in green colour option.

5) What are the details of Realme 11 Pro 5G and Realme 11 Devices Listed on BIS Website?

Ans) Two new Realme devices have been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with RMX3771 and RMX3761 model numbers. The former model number belongs to the Realme 11 Pro 5G, going by the past record from the Bluetooth SIG certification listing. The RMX3761 model number could be the Realme 11 device.

However, there is no confirmation if the device will be 4G or 5G yet. Since the devices have already bagged the 3C certification, TENAA, and Bluetooth SIG website in addition to the BIS certification, we are expecting the device to be launched soon in India. However, there is no confirmation of the launch from the company yet.

Specification-wise, the standard 11 Pro 5G is said to come with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB storage options. The phone is tipped to feature a large 4,780mAh battery and offer 67W fast charging. The Pro+ model in the Realme 11 lineup is likely to offer a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 200MP main camera, and 100W fast charging support. Both phones are expected to launch with Android 13 OS.

Currently, there is no information on the vanilla Realme 11 model. In a separate report, PriceBaba has reported that the Realme RMX3760 (likely Realem 11 series device) FCC documents. As per the report, the device will feature a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. We can expect the Realme 11 series to be launched in the second half of 2023.

6) When is Realme 11 phones coming to India?

Ans) Realme’s smartphone business relies chiefly on budget and mid-range smartphones. The brand also has several flagships planned but they don’t quite get the same consumer attention as the more affordable offerings. The Chinese company appears to be ready to soon launch new smartphones under the Realme 11 series. The lineup should include Realme 11 Pro+, Realme 11 Pro, and likely a standard Realme 11.

Today, the Pro model along with the vanilla Realme 11 has bagged Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification with model numbers RMX3771 and RMX3761. The listing did not reveal anything interesting about the two devices except confirming their India launch.
While the Realme 11 Pro has been spotted on many certification sites recently, there has been relatively little information available about the standard Realme 11 as it has appeared in fewer listings.

Reports suggest the Pro phone will get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage.

It is rumored to come equipped with a sizable 4,780mAh battery and a 67W fast charging capability. The device will likely debut with the Android 13 out of the box. The handset’s camera specifications and chipset remains unknown at this time but more details are expected to surface in the near future.

Ans) The cost will be between Rs 69,221 and Rs 99,162.

7) How is the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro camera?

Nothing Phone (2) design imaged by concept creator: Carl Pei Reaction

Nothing Phone (2)

HIGHLIGHTS

* The Nothing Phone (2) launch is expected to launch later this year.
* A concept creator has now made a video showcasing what the Nothing Phone (2) could look like.
* Nothing founder Carl Pei reacted to the concept design, calling it “stellar”.

The Nothing Phone (1) launched last year, and the time for a second-generation model is coming soon. The startup confirmed the launch of Nothing Phone (2) but there’s still no official confirmation on when we might actually see the device.

The Nothing Phone (1) is one that grabbed a lot of attention in the smartphone industry so there’s a great deal of expectation on the Nothing Phone (2).

Nothing Phone (2)

There’s also not much we know about the Nothing Phone (2) but that hasn’t stopped this concept creator from imaging what it could look like. Shea, who goes by the Twitter handle @concept_central, shared a short video showcasing the concept design of Nothing Phone (2), which attracted a response not just from the official Twitter handle of Nothing, but also the founder-CEO Carl Pei, who called the design “stellar” and said it made the company’s job harder.

Nothing Phone (2) Design Concept

Nothing Phone (2)

In the concept video, we can see that the Nothing Phone (2) retains the white LEDs which the company calls the ‘Glyph Interface’, and which is also the standout feature of the Nothing Phone (1).

One key difference that we can notice in the design is the camera module. The Nothing Phone (1) has an iPhone XS-like dual-camera module that is placed vertically. On the Nothing Phone (2) there’s a triple-camera setup that has a triangle-like design. And like the company’s design language, everything looks very sharp and geometrical.

Nothing Phone (2)

The punch-hole camera has been moved to the centre of the screen with the earpiece just sitting on top of it. The volume buttons are on the left side of the phone with the power button on the right. Other than that we can see the iPhone 12-like flat edges on the Nothing Phone (2).

Just to be clear, this is only a concept design and not the official or final design of the Nothing Phone (2). But it was good enough to attract a reply from Pei himself. Considering how Nothing went all out for the Phone (1) it seems unlikely that we will see some major design changes with its successor. We are expecting some upgrades under the hood though.

Nothing Phone (2) Expected Specs

Nothing Phone (2)

* Display: The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to feature a FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

* Processor: It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

FAQ’s On Nothing Phone (2)

1) What are the Nothing Phone (2) specifications (expected)?

Ans) The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to feature a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (2) is expected to come powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which could be coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

Coming to the battery of the device, the Nothing Phone (2) is tipped to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and wireless fast charging as well. In terms of software, the Nothing Phone (2) is more than likely to boot the latest Android 13-based Nothing OS out of the box.

Lastly, the device could feature a 50MP main camera with support for OIS.

2) What chip the Nothing Phone (2) will use?

Ans) The slip happened during MWC 2023. Qualcomm’s SVP and GM of Mobile, Compute and XR business unit, Alex Katouzian made a post congratulating Carl Pei and the Nothing team on the launch of the Nothin (2).
There are a few things interesting about the post.
Firstly, that phone is nowhere near launch.
We haven’t even gotten any official announcement about it.
What’s more notable, however, is the mention of the processor that this phone is set to use.

“Congratulations Cari Pei and the Nothing Team on the launch on the launch of Nothing Phone2 with #qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.”
Since this bit of information came from an executive over at Qualcomm, we can be sure that it’s correct.
You’d still want to keep an eye out in case anything changes or if Katouzian was actually mistaken.

So, if this phone uses a processor so powerful, then it will definitely be able to go toe-to-toe with the top phones of the year. Sure, it’s half of a generation behind, but the differences in day-to-day performance will be negligible.
With a higher-performing chip, we’re also expecting a higher price tag along with it.

Not only is Nothing using a more expensive SoC, but the diminishing economy means that manufacturing the phone will be even more expensive.
We’re not sure how much the phone will cost when it hits the shelves, but let’s hope that it’s close to that of the Nothing Phone (1).

Of course, for those that were hoping for and wanted the best possible internals inside the Nothing Phone 2, it looks like that probably won’t be happening this year. Again, as stated before, this isn’t a huge blow to the handset, and by using an older generation processor, there’s always the chance, or there’s a likely chance that the price of the device will debut much lower than competitors offerings.

But, it’d be interesting to hear your thoughts on this? What do you think about the Nothing Phone 2 using an older generation processor?

3) Whats new in the Nothing Phone (2) in comparison to Nothing Phone (1) ?

Ans) Now with a better build and specifications, we believe that the price of the Nothing Phone (2) may also go up quite a bit. The Phone (1) was launched in three variants in India – the base 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage model comes at a price of Rs 32,999. The other two models — 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage come at a price of RS 35,999 and Rs 38999.

Although, the company has offered the phone with big discounts every other month since its launch. So, it is safe to assume that the price of the Nothing Phone (2) could be higher when compared to the Phone (1).
