Bharti Airtel added around 12.5 lakh wireless subscribers in March 2026. Such a huge gain in subscriber addition has placed him at the top of the telcos. This is the third month in a row when Airtel has added more subscribers than Jio, reflecting strong growth.

The major factors behind Airtel’s growth are its focus on premium users, improved network quality, and strong 4G and 5G services, which attract high-value customers.

Reliance Jio added about 10.5 lakh subscribers in March. Although it added fewer subscribers than Airtel, Jio still leads the 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) market thanks to its rapid expansion.
