Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro smartphones for global markets today at an event in Austria. With the new generation, Xiaomi is focusing heavily on larger battery capacities, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, and Leica-branded camera systems across both devices. Here’s everything you need to know about the phones.

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro – Price and Availability

After today’s unveiling, the smartphones are already available in several European countries and the UK.

Pricing for Xiaomi 17T starts at EUR 749.99 (around USD 872 / Rs 83,500) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at EUR 799.99 (around USD 930 / Rs 89,070). As for colour, Xiaomi 17T is available in Violet, Opal White, Blue, and Black colour options.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17T Pro 12GB + 256GB version is priced at EUR 899.99 (around USD 1,047 / Rs 1,00,195), while the 12GB + 512GB variant costs EUR 999.99 (around USD 1,163 / Rs 1,11,330). The top-end 12GB + 1TB configuration is priced at EUR 1,099.99 (around USD 1,279 / Rs 1,22,460).

Meanwhile, Xiaomi 17T Pro comes in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Black colours.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T will launch in India on June 4.

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro – Key Specifications

The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-slim 1.29mm bezels. Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi 17T comes with a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel offering a 120Hz refresh rate.

Both smartphones support up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The Pro variant additionally includes hardware-level 1-nit minimum brightness support for improved low-light viewing comfort.

Under the hood, Xiaomi has opted for MediaTek chipsets on both models. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the flagship-grade 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, while the regular Xiaomi 17T uses the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset. Both devices are equipped with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. To improve thermal management, Xiaomi has included its 3D IceLoop vapor chamber cooling system in both smartphones.

On the software front, the two devices run HyperOS 3 and include several HyperAI features such as AI writing tools, speech recognition, dynamic wallpapers, Circle to Search, and Gemini AI integration.

For photography, Xiaomi continues its collaboration with Leica. Both the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro feature a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto camera. The primary rear cameras are also 50 megapixels although the two models use different sensors. The Pro version gets a larger 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 sensor, while the standard model uses a 1/1.55-inch Light Fusion 800 sensor.

Moreover, both smartphones come with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. Xiaomi has also introduced a Leica Live Moment feature, which records short video clips alongside still images in a manner similar to Apple’s Live Photos feature.

Battery capacity is another major highlight of the lineup. The Xiaomi 17T Pro packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The regular Xiaomi 17T houses a 6,500mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support.

Both devices also support 22.5W reverse wired charging.

The two smartphones carry IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance and are equipped with dual stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos support.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC on both models. The Xiaomi 17T Pro supports Wi-Fi 7, while the standard Xiaomi 17T comes with Wi-Fi 6E support. Security features include an in-display fingerprint scanner.
