Although the tipster did not specifically identify the models, the information is believed to refer to the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

Xiaomi 18 Series Could Use 2nm Snapdragon Chip

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to be among the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. As per DCS’s recent post, the chipset is tipped to be manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process.

Before the Xiaomi 18 Pro series arrives, the company is reportedly planning the launch of the Redmi 17 series in India. Following the Redmi 17 series, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to introduce the Redmi Note 17 Pro series in India around September 18 or September 20.

However, none of the launch dates, specifications or design details mentioned in these leaks has been officially confirmed by Xiaomi. The reported timelines and specifications should therefore be treated as estimates until the company makes an official announcement.

Alleged Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro Global Variants Get IMDA Certification

0

Highlights

  • Two Xiaomi tablets with model numbers 26103RP65G and 2612CRPFFG have received IMDA certification in Singapore.
  • The 2612CRPFFG model is likely the global Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, expected to mirror the Chinese variant with Snapdragon 8‑series chipset and 67W wired fast charging.
  • The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 may support 45W charging but Xiaomi has not officially confirmed details yet.

Xiaomi appears to be preparing to expand its upcoming tablet lineup to global markets with two new models now receiving regulatory approval in Singapore. The latest development also adds to earlier certification sightings and leaks surrounding Xiaomi’s next-generation devices. Here’s what we know so far.

Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets Certified By Singapore’s IMDA

Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets get IMDA certification.
Upcoming Xiaomi Tablets get IMDA certification.

According to a recent X post by tipster Anvin, Xiaomi devices carrying model numbers 26103RP65G and 2612CRPFFG have been certified by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

While the certification does not officially reveal the marketing names of the tablets, the two models are believed to be linked to the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.

Interestingly, the model number 2612CRPFFG has already appeared on the EEC certification database. Its marketing name was not revealed in that listing either. The latest IMDA sighting therefore provides another indication that Xiaomi could be preparing these tablets for launch outside China.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Global Variant Could Be Model 2612CRPFFG

The model number 2612CRPFFG is closely related to model 2612CRPFFC, which was previously spotted in China. The Chinese model received 3C certification with support for 67W wired fast charging.

The difference between the two model numbers is the final letter. The letter “C” is generally associated with Chinese variants, while “G” is commonly used for global versions. This suggests that the 2612CRPFFG could be the international version of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro, although the certification has not officially confirmed the tablet’s name.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Specifications Tipped

Tipster Digital Chat Station had previously revealed that Xiaomi is developing two tablets for the Chinese market namely the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset, although the exact processor has not been disclosed yet. The tablet’s Chinese variant carrying model number 2612CRPFFC has already been associated with 67W fast charging.

Since the newly certified 2612CRPFFG shares almost the same model number, it is possible that the global version could offer similar core hardware and charging capabilities.

The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 has previously been linked to the model number M656BA. Unlike the Pro model, it is expected to support 45W charging.

The IMDA certification suggests that Xiaomi could be moving closer to launching its upcoming tablets in international markets. However, the company has yet to officially confirm the names, specifications or launch timeline of the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.

The series is rumoured to debut in China in September followed by a global launch later this year.

While Vivo has yet to officially confirm the smartphones, multiple leaks have already revealed several details about the upcoming devices. The latest update to join the series of leaks is about the expected display sizes, chipsets and camera module designs of the Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. Here’s more on what we know.

According to the latest leak, the standard Vivo X500 could feature a display measuring around 6.59 inches and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chipset, which is reportedly based on a 3nm manufacturing process. The phone is also said to feature a circular camera module positioned in the upper-left corner of the rear panel.

The Vivo X500 Pro, meanwhile, is tipped to have a more compact 6.37-inch display. It could be powered by the Dimensity 9600 Pro, which is expected to use a more advanced 2nm process. Unlike the standard model, the X500 Pro is said to feature a centrally positioned circular camera module on the rear.

The top-end Vivo X500 Pro Max could come with a significantly larger 6.85-inch display and the same Dimensity 9600 Pro 2nm chipset. It is also tipped to feature a circular rear camera module placed at the centre.

Vivo X500 Series – What We Know So Far?

Based on previous leaks, the standard Vivo X500 is expected to feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The smartphone is also rumoured to pack a large 7,500mAh battery although details about its charging technology have not been revealed so far.

For photography, an engineering prototype of the Vivo X500 has reportedly been spotted with a triple-camera system. The setup could include a 50-megapixel Sony primary sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 64-megapixel Sony periscope telephoto camera. The periscope unit is tipped to use a 1/2-inch sensor and offer a 70mm equivalent focal length.

The Vivo X500 Pro, on the other hand, has previously been tipped to feature a flat LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Its compact form factor is expected to position it between the standard X500 and the larger X500 Pro Max.

An engineering prototype of the smartphone is also said to have been tested with a BOE OLED panel featuring a new-generation light-emitting material.

On the photography front, previous leaks have suggested that the Vivo X500 Pro could carry a 50-megapixel LOFIC primary camera alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. A newer leak has also pointed towards a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length.

As for the Vivo X500 Pro Max, it is expected to sit at the top of the X500 lineup and could receive the most advanced camera hardware of the three models. The Pro Max could also feature a massive battery with a capacity of around 8,000mAh, although charging details have not been revealed yet.

According to earlier information from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the smartphone could feature a 50-megapixel Sony LOFIC primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. LOFIC technology is designed to improve dynamic range by retaining more detail in both bright highlights and dark areas, potentially resulting in more natural-looking images in high-contrast scenes. Some reports have also linked the main camera to Sony’s upcoming LYT-838 sensor.

The primary camera could be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The telephoto camera is tipped to offer an 85mm focal length and use a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. It could also support high-quality telephoto macro photography.
