The iQOO 16, which was launched in China last month, is now reportedly getting ready to enter markets outside China in the coming weeks. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a Geekbench listing that is claimed to be the global/India variant of the iQOO 16.
The listing reveals a 12GB RAM configuration, Android 17 and impressive benchmark numbers. It also points to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, suggesting that the global version could retain the flagship performance hardware seen on the China model.

Why Does This Configuration Point to the Extreme Gen 6?
The Geekbench listing is particularly interesting because of the CPU configuration. It mentions the SM8975 platform with a setup consisting of 2 cores clocked at 5.01GHz, 3 cores at 4.03GHz and 3 cores at 3.74GHz, along with the Adreno 850 GPU.
This configuration matches earlier iQOO 16 Geekbench listings that also showed the SM8975 platform and similar 5.01GHz, 4.03GHz and 3.74GHz clock speeds. This is why the listing is being linked to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
What Does the 10,029 Geekbench Score Mean?
The iQOO 16’s 10,029 multi-core score indicates that the phone is capable of delivering strong performance when handling multiple tasks at the same time. Its 2,944 single-core score also points to powerful performance for everyday tasks and applications that depend more heavily on individual CPU cores.
However, Geekbench scores are benchmark results and do not by themselves represent complete real-world performance.
iQOO 16 India/Global Launch
The Geekbench appearance suggests that the iQOO 16 global or India variant could be getting closer to launch. The phone has already been introduced in China, and the global model is reportedly expected to reach markets outside China in the coming weeks. Recently, a well-known Indian tipster claimed that the iQOO 16 is currently being tested in India.
The Geekbench listing gives some indication that an India/global version is in development, but iQOO has not yet officially confirmed the India launch date.

The iQOO 16 is expected to launch in India in the coming weeks but its final Indian price is not known yet. In China, the smartphone starts at CNY 5,999, which is approximately ₹86,000 or $894 based on the provided conversion.
However, a tipster has reportedly suggested that the iQOO 16 could be priced closer to Rs 1,00,000 ($1,039) in India. If this pricing turns out to be accurate, the phone could face a tough comparison with its predecessor iQOO 15, which started at Rs 72,999 in India.
At the same time, the iQOO 16 is expected to offer flagship-level hardware including a 2K+ 165Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, 8,400mAh battery, 100W charging and a 50MP periscope camera.

iQOO 16 Expected Specifications
The iQOO 16 global model is expected to retain many of the specifications of the China version.
The phone features a 6.85-inch 2K+ Samsung M16 LTPO AMOLED display with a 3168 x 1440-pixel resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports HDR10+, a 165Hz variable refresh rate, 1.07 billion colours and DCI-P3 colour gamut. It can reach up to 2,800 nits brightness in HBM mode and 10,000 nits peak brightness.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 2nm mobile platform paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and a Q4 gaming chip. It comes with either 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra or 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM, while storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB using UFS 4.1.
On the software side, the iQOO 16 runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7.
For cameras, the phone has a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, f/1.68 aperture and OIS. It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.05 aperture and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony sensor, f/2.65 aperture and OIS. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The phone also features an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. Audio features include USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers and Hi-Fi audio.
The smartphone packs an 8,400mAh battery with 100W ultra-fast wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
