Kantara to Get Netflix OTT Release in Hindi on December 9

• Kantara was initially released in Kannada on September 30th and became one of the biggest hits of 2022, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video
• It is already streaming on Amazon Prime Video in four languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
• The Kantara Hindi rights were bagged by Netflix and the film will now release on OTT on  December 9th.

If there is one film that has become the talk of the town in the last few weeks, it is the Kannada film, Kantara, one of the biggest hits of 2022 in India that has probably made more waves than can be found in the sea.

This action-thriller adventure was helmed by Rishab Shetty and released on September 30 to huge critical and commercial success, thereby making it the second Kannada film after KGF: Chapter 2, to achieve success at a pan-India scale.

The movie is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in all four South Indian languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, where it has been just as well received as it has in the theatres, which is why the Hindi-belt audience is eagerly waiting for the Hindi dubbed version.

Apart from Rishab Shetty, the movie also stars Sapthami Gowda and Kishore in supporting roles, where all three performances have been well received, while the story and screenplay too is unique, thereby making it the second highest grossing Kannada film of all time.

Now that Netflix has bagged the Hindi rights for the movie, Kantara will soon start streaming there as well from December 9, 2022, which is exciting news and more so that Indian Cinema is truly uniting as one industry rather than be divided by language.
