A18 Chip to Enable AI Features

The highlight of the upgrade is expected to be the inclusion of the A18 chip, replacing the current A16 processor. This change should deliver a noticeable boost in performance while also introducing support for Apple Intelligence. With this move, Apple’s most affordable iPad will finally gain access to AI-powered features, although more advanced Siri upgrades are anticipated later with iOS 26.5.
