Vivo has added another smartphone to its Y-series lineup in China with the launch of the Vivo Y600i. This is the third model in the series, which already includes Vivo Y600 Turbo and Y600 Pro. Here’s everything you need to know about the new phone.

Vivo Y600i Price and Availability

The Vivo Y600i is scheduled to go on sale in China from September 30. The phone is priced at 1,999 Yuan, which is approximately $300, for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The phone is offered in Stardust, Sky Blue and Midnight Black colour options.

Vivo Y600i – Key Specifications

The Vivo Y600i sports a 6.87-inch LCD display offering a 1592 x 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen can reach up to 1,300 nits of brightness in HBM mode and supports DC dimming. It also carries TÜV Rheinland certification for software-level low blue-light protection.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a memory card. Vivo also allows users to add up to 12GB of virtual RAM through its memory-fusion technology.

The smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. It also comes with an AI-based anti-fraud feature designed to identify scam calls, adding an extra safety-focused feature to the phone’s durability and long-battery-life focus.

The Y600i packs an 8,000mAh battery with support for up to 44W wired charging and wired reverse charging. Vivo claims that the battery can retain at least 80% of its original capacity even after 1,500 charging cycles, based on the company’s laboratory tests. The phone is also claimed to offer up to 25 hours of short-video playback and up to 16 hours of continuous navigation.

For photography, the Y600i gets a 50-megapixel f/1.8 rear camera with autofocus, while an 8-megapixel camera is provided on the front. Other features include a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-SIM 5G support, a USB Type-C port and an infrared blaster.

The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has also received SGS five-star drop-resistance certification.
