Jio’s Rs 119 Cheapest Prepaid Recharge Plan Replaced by Jio Rs 149 Recharge Pack

* Jio has discontinued Rs 119 prepaid recharge plan in the country to improve the average revenue per user (ARPU).
* The telecom operator’s most affordable prepaid recharge plan is the Rs 149 pack now.
* Airtel also removed its base Rs 99 prepaid plan earlier this year for the same reason.

Reliance Jio has removed its Rs 119 plan from its offerings.
The telco introduced the plan after the tariff hikes in late 2021.

This plan came with 14 days of validity and offered customers 1.5GB of daily data, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day.

But this plan is no longer available for customers in any part of the country.

The telco has changed its most affordable plan from Rs 119 to a higher-tier plan.
This move is just like what Airtel made and would help the company in improving its average revenue per user (ARPU) figure.

The new most affordable or the cheapest plan from Jio is the Rs 149 plan.

The Rs 149 plan from Reliance Jio comes with a validity of 20 days.
Users get 1GB of daily data along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day along with JioCinema, JioCloud and JioTV.

This plan is not eligible for the 5G Welcome Offer from Jio under which users get truly unlimited 5G data.

Airtel Rs 155 Plan

The Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan comes with additional validity compared to the Rs 119 plan.
It offers 20 days of validity to the subscribers.

Users get a total of 20GB of data with the recharge plan with a daily cap of 1GB of data.
Like all Jio plans, the Rs 149 plan also offers unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS daily with the pack.

Additionally, users got free JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud subscriptions with the plan.

Airtel Rs 155 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 24 days.
It offers unlimited voice calling and a total of 1GB of data only.

The pack provides only 300 SMS in total for the duration of the validity. Other benefits include a free HelloTunes subscription and free Wynk Music.

Jio is a value-for-money plan for subscribers & has lower validity.
It offers 1GB of data daily compared to 1GB in total offered by Airtel.

Jio users get 2,000 free SMS (100 free SMS daily for 20 days).
Airtel offers 300 free SMS .
