Amazon Prime Video has just unveiled the first look of their upcoming movie “Bawaal.”
The movie is all set to release directly on OTT skipping theatrical release.

The maker of the movie says that the movie is a truly Indian film with a global appeal while explaining the idea of releasing it on a digital medium.
The movie will be releases of July, but the official release date is not revealed by the streaming giant.

When and Where to Watch Bawaal

Amazon Prime Video has announced that it will be directly releasing the romantic love story between Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor of July.

However, no release date has been announced by the streaming service. In the meantime, viewers need to get a subscription to the streaming giant to watch the movie from the comfort of their homes.

The makers and streaming service have just revealed the first look poster of the movie.
The lead actors Varun and Jhanvi appeared to be engrossed in one another’s gaze in the first look poster.

Varun wore a blue shirt and a grey blazer, while Jhanvi opted for an ethnic appearance with classic Indian earrings. This gives the impression that the movie is based on a romantic story.

The “Dangal” director Nitesh Tiwari is in charge of the movie. With a collaboration between Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh’s Earthsky Pictures and Sajid Nadiadwala’s production company, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie is produced.

According to reports, the movie cost around Rs. 2.5 crore per day of the shoot and by far, is the most expensive movie of both Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor. So the hype is created with such news and we will have to wait for the reaction of the viewers upon the film’s release.

Finally, the makers of the highly anticipated film Bawaal starring Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor on Monday announced the direct release of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial on OTT.

Taking to its official handle, Prime video treated fans with an announcement poster and captioned it, “Badlega sabke dilon ka haal kyunki duniya bhar mein hone wala hai Bawaal Iss July… banega mahaul as #BawaalGoesGlobal .Produced by #SajidNadiadwala and directed by @niteshtiwari22, #BawaalOnPrime to premiere worldwide in over 200 countries and territories only on @primevideoin.”

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles and is all set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and across 200 countries and territories worldwide in July.

Earlier, it was slated to hit the theatres on October 6, 2023.

Bawaal First Look

On Monday, Prime Video shared Varun and Janhvi’s first look from Bawaal, and wrote in the caption, “Badlega sabke dilon ka haal kyunki duniya bhar mein hone wala hai Bawaal. Iss July… banega mahaul as Bawaal goes global (Everyone’s heart will see a change as there will be a commotion around the world). Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by @niteshtiwari22, Bawaal to premiere worldwide in over 200 countries and territories only on Prime Video.”

The first look poster showed the lead pair, Varun and Jhanvi, lost in each other’s eyes. Jhanvi wore an ethnic look with traditional Indian earrings, while Varun wore a blue shirt and grey jacket.

Packed theatrical schedule in July

The first half of July will see the extended run of Satyaprem Ki Katha, romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, and Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny, action adventure film starring Harrison Ford, both of which would release on June 29.

Hollywood would dominate most of July at the Indian box office, thanks to the release of Tom Cruise’s action thriller Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One on July 14, and Christopher Nolan’s period film Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, on July 21.

Finally, the last release of the month, on July 28, is Karan Johar’s first directorial in seven years, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, a romantic comedy starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan.

Varun’s Second straight-to-streaming Release

Only one of Varun Dhawan’s films so far, father David Dhawan’s Coolie No. 1, premiered straight on OTT, Prime Video India, in December 2020, the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in India.

Janhvi’s Third Straight-to-streaming Release

Two of Janhvi Kapoor’s films as a solo lead have released directly on streaming so far — Sharan Sharma’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl on Netflix India in 2020 and Sidharth Sengupta’s Good Luck Jerry on Disney+ Hotstar in 2022.

This excludes Janhvi’s short film directed by Zoya Akhtar in Netflix India’s horror anthology Ghost Stories in 2020.
