Tecno Pova 8 5G appears to be getting closer to its official launch. The upcoming Pova series smartphone has now been spotted on the NBTC certification website hinting that Tecno could soon introduce the device in global markets. Here are more details.
The latest certification listing reveals the model number “LK6” and confirms the marketing name as “TECNO POVA 8 5G”. The database also confirms support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and NR connectivity indicating full 5G network compatibility.
Apart from confirming the device name and connectivity options, the NBTC certification does not disclose any other hardware specifications of the smartphone.
Although the NBTC listing is limited in terms of details, earlier leaks and certification appearances have already revealed several key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The Tecno Pova 8 5G was earlier spotted on the Google Play Console database. The listing suggested that the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. While the chipset name was not directly mentioned, reports claim that the the model number MT6858, CPU, GPU configuration together hints that chipset is most likely Dimensity 7100 SoC.
In terms of display, the Play Console database indicated that the Tecno Pova 8 5G could feature a flat screen with rounded corners. The display is expected to offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2344 pixels along with a 420dpi pixel density.
Apart from that, the smartphone was also recently listed on Geekbench with the same chipset, 6GB RAM and Android 16.
Another major highlight of the upcoming device could be its battery capacity. The smartphone had previously appeared on the TUV certification platform, which revealed a large 7,750mAh battery. However, details regarding charging speeds are still unknown at this point.
