Honor has confirmed it will launch the Honor 600 series in China on May 25. The lineup has already launched globally with the standard Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro. The Chinese versions are expected to offer bigger batteries, upgraded hardware, and a new Star Edition.
Reports suggest the Honor 600 series in China could feature a larger battery, improved cameras, AI-powered features, and a premium design.
The Honor 600 series in China is expected to have three versions: standard, Pro, and Star Edition. The standard model may have a 6.57-inch AMOLED display, while the Pro could offer a larger 6.75-inch AMOLED screen with a 2728 x 1264 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Honor 600 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip with 8GB of RAM and either 2556GB or 512GB of storage, while the Pro model is expected to feature a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and similar storage options. These processors should make both devices suitable for gaming and multitasking.
The Honor 600 series is also rumoured to include AI-powered software, better cooling systems, and improved connectivity.
The devices may run MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16. This could bring better multitasking, AI photography tools, and features that work across devices.
Describing the new Honor 600 series, the OEM said: “Lucky in hand #Honor600# Series, Starlight in the Eyes #4L Flash Mirror Single Live#, let every moment shine! At 19:00 on May 25th, the Honor 600 series new product launch conference, omni-channel reservations are now open, and it will be launched soon!”
The Honor 600 series is expected to put a strong focus on mobile photography. Reports say both models could have a 200MP main rear camera with optical image stabilisation for better low-light photos and sharper details.
The Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro may also have a main sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Both devices could feature a 50MP front camera. The Pro model is also expected to include a 50MP telephoto camera with hardware stabilisation and zoom.
Honor is also expected to add improved AI imaging and better portrait photography features.
Along with the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro, the company has announced it may also launch a special Star Edition as the third model in the series. The specifications and features of the Star Edition have not been revealed yet, but it teases an iPhone Air-like camera bump with three lens rings.
Unlike the standard and Honor 600 Pro variants that have a big rectangular camera module on the back with an iPhone 17 Pro-inspired lens arrangement, the Star Edition has a glorious imaging bar, where one lens is slightly bigger than the other two.
The smartphones are expected to feature slim bezels, curved-edge OLED displays, and premium glass finishes. Leaked renders suggest the phones may retain the oval-shaped rear camera module design while offering refreshed colour options, including Orange, Black, and White.
Explaining the design of the new phone, the company says: “At this moment, the lucky star falls, and you can make a wish! It carries a lucky light, hides in the palm of its hand, and falls in life. Every time you raise your hand, it’s a flash. Honor 600 series, holding a lucky star, good things will come naturally!”
A major highlight of the Chinese Honor 600 series could be the huge 8600mAh battery rumoured for at least one model. If true, this would make it one of the largest batteries in a mainstream smartphone.
Fast charging is also expected, with the Pro model possibly supporting over 100W wired charging. The phones will likely come in several storage options.
Although official pricing is not yet available, reports suggest the Honor 600 series will target the premium mid-range and upper flagship market in China, with plans to expand to more global regions later this year.
Honor has officially confirmed that the Honor 600 series will launch in China on May 25, 2026.
The lineup is expected to include the Honor 600, Honor 600 Pro, and a newly teased Honor 600 Star Edition model.
The smartphones are rumoured to AMOLED displays, Snapdragon chipsets, AI-powered features, 200MP primary cameras, and fast charging support with a massive 8600mAh battery on select variants.
Yes, the Honor 600 series has already been introduced globally in selected markets, but the Chinese variants are expected to feature upgraded hardware and additional features.
