As Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is just a day away from unveiling its flagship camera-centric Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China, the company has revealed the first look of the upcoming smartphone. According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is going to be a 'professional imaging device'. The company has also claimed that at just a 1 percent charge, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra can last for an hour. In a few days, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, release its latest flagship device. Over the past few weeks, there have been a lot of reports about this device. This morning, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will come with the Surge P2 and Surge G1 chips. Also, he claims that the battery life of this device is far better than its predecessor. In addition to the chips, the mobile phones will support emergency long battery life mode. The company claims that with this mode, the mobile phone battery can last for 60 minutes when it is on its last 1% of the battery. With this feature, users can avoid being caught off guard by a sudden power failure. Let us look at the images of the upcoming smartphone. Xiaomi 13 Ultra Design, Camera Details The Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s back design, as shown in official pictures, remains consistent with the previously leaked features. It features a pigmented leather back cover in olive green and a slope line transition beneath the lens module. The upcoming smartphone features a disc camera module encircled in gold, an integrated metal middle frame, and a back cover made of “second-generation technology nano-skin” material. It also supports IP68 dust-proof and waterproof capabilities. For image purposes, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have a Leica Summicron lens, a wide aperture at all focal lengths, and a wide range of coverage from ultra-wide-angle to medium-telephoto to ultra-telephoto. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra features four Leica cameras, each with a 50 million pixel resolution, large apertures, and support for various shooting modes such as snapshots, night scenes, and 8K video. Xiaomi 13 Ultra Specifications (Expected) The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is anticipated to have a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to feature a quad rear camera configuration comprising of a 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor and three 50MP sensors. It is likely that the smartphone will have a 32MP front-facing camera. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will have up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is expected to feature a 4,900mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. However, tipster OnLeaks, who recently partnered with MySmartPrice exclusively for the Pixel 7 design renders, has now shared the 13 Ultra’s design renders. The images reveal that the 13 Ultra has a flat frame with rounded corners. It houses the power and volume buttons on the right edge of the phone. At the bottom edge, there is the USB Type-C port, the SIM tray and a speaker grille. There are some cutouts at the top as well, which could be for the secondary microphone, an IR blaster and a speaker grille. OnLeaks claims that the phone’s White colour variant will have a leather-like finish. There is a massive circular camera module on the back for the quad-camera setup and the dual-LED flash. The camera module is raised on top of the protruded rear panel, which further curves and blends in towards the lower portion of the rear panel. There is the Xiaomi branding in the left corner. What is missing here is the Leica branding. The final product is likely to ship with the text in the camera module to highlight the collaboration. On the front, the phone has a curved display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. OnLeaks claims that the phone has a circa 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED curved display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone will measure about 163.18 × 74.64 × 9.57 mm. Some other details about the phone have leaked as well. The phone’s quad-camera setup will feature a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 main camera on the back. It is also said to get a new secondary sensor. We can also see a periscope lens in the mix. There will be another zoom lens in the quad-camera setup. As per rumours, the 13 Ultra will feature four 50MP sensors on the back. The front camera will have a 32MP sensor. There will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
