Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced four new initiatives to prevent cybercrime in India while addressing the first Foundation Day celebration of the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C).

“Without cybersecurity, the development of the nation is impossible at this point. Technology is a blessing to humanity. Technology is being used to a great extent to boost the economy but at the same time, we are also seeing many threats because of technology. Cybersecurity has become an important part of national security. We won’t be able to secure our nation without cyber security. Platforms like I4C can play a key role in this,” Amit Shah said.
Shah highlighted the need for a national-level suspect registry that includes all states to prevent future crimes. He announced that I4C would launch a nationwide awareness campaign starting from September 10th, utilizing various channels such as FM radio and other platforms.
“The more popular the ‘1930’ number becomes, the more effective it will be. On this occasion, I will also appeal to all state governments to join this campaign,” he added.

The Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre (CFMC) and the Samanvay platform (Joint Cyber Crime Investigation Facility System) were also launched during the event.

New Initiatives Launched to Curb Cybercrime in India

There are plans to train 5,000 cyber commandos in the next five years to fight cybercrime in the country.

Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre (CFMC): Established at the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (14C) in New Delhi with representatives of major banks, Financial Intermediaries, Payment Aggregators, Telecom Service Providers, IT Intermediaries and States/UTs Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). They will work together for immediate action and seamless cooperation to tackle online financial crimes.

Samanvay Platform (Joint Cybercrime Investigation Facilitation System): A one-stop portal for data repository of cybercrime, data sharing, crime mapping, data analytics, cooperation and coordination platform for Law Enforcement Agencies across the country.

Cyber Commandos’ Program: Will establish a special wing of trained 5,000 ‘Cyber Commandos’ in States/UTs and Central Police Organizations (CPOs) to counter cyber security threats. Trained Cyber Commandos will work with States/UTs and Central Agencies to keep the digital space secure.

Suspect Registry: A registry of various identifiers will be created based on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP). This will be a collaboration with banks and financial intermediaries to strengthen fraud risk management capabilities.

Amit Shah highlighted that cybersecurity is crucial for national security and progress.

Union Home Minister informed that 7 Joint Cyber Coordination Teams have been formed keeping in mind the complaints of cybercrime. The teams are formed at Mewat, Jamtara, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam and Guwahati. These teams have yielded good results.

He said that I4C has also launched an effective awareness campaign on various social media handles under Cyber Dost. Shri Shah said that with all these efforts we have definitely reached a point but our goals are still far away. He said that to achieve the goal, we will have to make a precise strategy and move forward together in the same direction.

Launched on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the Secured Cyber Space campaign, I4C today is a strong pillar country’s cyber security.

I4C was established under the ‘Safe Cyber Space’ campaign in 2015 on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

I4C aka Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre was later set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India after approval in October 2018. It was inaugurated by Amit Shah in January 2020.

The centre has played an instrumental role in identifying and banning several apps and websites committing cyber crimes. Many apps such as TikTok, WeChat, and more were banned after inputs from I4C in 2020.

What are the 2023 cyber fraud stats ?

In February this year, the Centre said that a total of 1,128,256 cybercrime incidents were reported across India on the ‘Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting Management System’ (CFCFMS) in 2023.
Part of I4C, CFCFMS was introduced to register the immediate reporting of financial frauds and to stop syphoning off funds by fraudsters. In 2023, Uttar Pradesh reported the highest number of complaints on this portal at 197,547. The highest amount of fraud was reported in Maharashtra at Rs 9.9 billion.

These models will dynamically learn from and adapt to individual users. The integration of this technology into Apple’s ecosystem will occur in a phased manner over the next few years. Meanwhile, Google will race ahead taking its Gemini AI models to 200 million Android devices by the end of 2024.
However, Apple, with its equally substantial financial resources and a network of over 530 retail stores across 27 regions worldwide, is well-equipped to promote its AI initiatives and showcase the power of on-device intelligence to consumers.

Apple’s grand annual launch event has concluded and reactions have been pouring in from all corners. While many experts and Apple fans have been sharing conflicting opinions, everyone unanimously missed Watch Ultra 3.

Many Apple were anticipating big updates to the Apple Watch lineup at Apple’s recent event.

Realme Narzo 70 Turbo – Design

The “eye-catching Motorsport-inspired design” of Realme Narzo 70 Turbo is exactly that – eye-catching.

We had the Turbo Green colour variant for this review and it is something that we never go unnoticed in your hands. The phone is lightweight and slim, which adds to the overall ease of handling. This is also a plus for gamers to get a comfortable gaming experience.

The back of the phone is shiny and changes colour when tilted in different directions. The finish is smooth. We especially loved the camera module, which is both neat and not intruding at all. The steel frame around the camera phone looks stylish.

It comes with something called 2.8D equal-depth micro-curve design. This gives the back cover of the phone curved edges that merge with the middle frame smoothly.

It comes with an IP65 rating, so you can wave off some worry for dust & water splashes.

Overall, we loved the design of the phone. As for colour options, in case the Turbo Green is not something you instantly like, Realme is also releasing Turbo Yellow and Turbo Purple colours that are worth checking out.

Realme Narzo 70 Turbo – Display

The 6.67-inch Samsung E4 OLED screen is impressive. It is perfect for everything from gaming to streaming videos. The first thing we noticed about the display is its rather narrow bezels. The uniformly narrow bezels add to the immersive experience.

This Realme phone comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is understandable since we saw the marketing of the phone was around its gaming capability. This makes the phone incredibly smooth. We didn’t face any issues with regular scrolling and swiping.

The phone handles outside brightness well too. With 600 nits for everyday use and up to 1200 nits in High Brightness Mode. We tried using this under direct sunlight and it performed satisfactorily.

The colour reproduction is fantastic though. With 16.7 million colours and a 106% NTSC colour gamut, it brings everything to life. Again an advantage for gamers.

The Pro-XDR display technology also enhances the visual quality. It makes images and videos look more detailed.

As for durability, the screen is protected by AG DT Star 2 glass and has a Protective Film Touch.

It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. We found that to be working smoothly.

Realme Narzo 70 Turbo – Hardware

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy processor that promises a powerful performance.

Whether multitasking or playing high-frame-rate games, the phone handles everything smoothly.

While we tested different tasks on the phone, we noticed how the power consumption is relatively low and it is capable of providing a stable performance throughout the day.

And then the dynamic RAM — it’s a whopping 26GB (12GB physical + 14GB virtual).

This setup, backed by the advanced DRE technology, lets you keep up with multitasking. The brand claims you can keep 32 apps and 7 games running in the background without any lag or slowdown. In our experience, we tried to open multiple apps and play two games in intervals. The phone was able to handle it while maintaining responsiveness.

App launches and switching between tasks never seemed to be a problem to us.

Plus, with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4 RAM, everything feels quick, from loading apps to saving files.

Realme Narzo 70 Turbo – Benchmark Results

The 4 × 2.5GHz A78 cores and advanced 4nm process technology deliver impressive speed and efficiency. It scores over 750,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark, making it one of the most powerful phones in its segment. We also performed some other benchmark tests on the phone and the results are better than most phones we have seen in the segment.
