WhatsApp Making Sticker Creation Simpler

Until now, you could make and save custom stickers on WhatsApp, but it wasn’t exactly easy to find and send them, especially if you had a lot stored. That’s changing with the latest update.

You can now create sticker packs and organise your stickers into different folders. Even better, you can share an entire sticker pack with someone in one go, instead of sending stickers one by one.

A WhatsApp spokesperson told 9to5Mac, “Whether it’s a pack of stickers of your dog, or hilarious selfies of your closest friends, now you can make your chats more fun and personal, with sticker packs that are unique to you. Earlier this year we announced sticker pack sharing, so now you can create and share your very own sticker packs with your friends and family in-chat.”

WhatsApp Rolling Out More Handy Features

WhatsApp has also rolled out some other new tools recently. There’s now an indicator that shows how many people are online in a group chat. You can also scan and send documents directly and even set WhatsApp as the default calling and messaging app on your iPhone.

First reported by WhatsApp Beta source WABetaInfo, the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS enables support for the option to choose default apps. When users select the new app as their default, it is used for related actions. If you select a phone number, the iPhone will automatically use WhatsApp to call it instead of using the iOS Phone app.

CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, is all set to launch its first Pro model named CMF Phone 2 Pro on April 28. And thanks to a new teaser on Flipkart, we now know it’ll be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset.

CMF Phone 2 Pro – MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro (Confirmed)

Compared to the CMF Phone 1, which uses the standard Dimensity 7300, the 7300 Pro offers a small bump in performance. Flipkart claims a 10% CPU boost and a 5% GPU improvement. It’s not a huge leap, so some might feel the “Pro” label is a bit generous. Still, these upgrades should make everyday performance smoother.

image

But here’s something that might excite gamers. Nothing says the CMF Phone 2 Pro can run BGMI at 120FPS. That’s a big win for anyone into mobile gaming.

The phone has also appeared on Geekbench 6.4.0, scoring just over 1000 in single-core and around 3000 in multi-core tests. It also comes with a 6th-gen MediaTek NPU, capable of 4.8 TOPS (trillion operations per second), although it’s still unclear how this compares to the NPU in the regular 7300.

CMF Phone 2 Pro – Design Details

The Phone 2 Pro keeps the flat sides and seems to have slimmer front bezels than the previous model. The bottom bezel hasn’t been shown yet, but Nothing teased a bit of the display earlier this week.

The company is also talking up the phone’s look, calling it “Ultra-slim, Ultra-light, Ultra-sleek.”

Another teaser revealed a textured, tactile finish, showing a close-up of a sleek corner with a visible screw, a nod to CMF’s customisable design style as seen on the Phone 1.

As per earlier leaks, the customisable back cover and screw mount used for attaching a lanyard or other accessories are expected to stay. The screen size is said to be around 6.3 inches, which is slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch panel on the original Nothing Phone (1).

Meta Blocks Apple Intelligence Features On Facebook, WhatsApp and More Of Its Apps On iOS

0

Highlights

  • Meta disables Apple Intelligence features in its iOS apps.
  • Tools like Writing Tools, Genmoji and keyboard stickers are unavailable on Facebook, WhatsApp and Threads.
  • Meta may aim to promote its own Meta AI, which offers similar features like writing assistance and image generation.

image

Caption – Apple Intelligence tools Meta’s iOS apps. (Image credit – Apple)

Apple introduced Apple Intelligence with iOS 18, and it’s been available to users since the release of iOS 18.1 last October. While most apps automatically support Apple Intelligence features, developers can choose to disable them and it looks like Meta has done exactly that.

No Apple Intelligence in Meta’s iOS Apps

According to a report from Brazilian blog Sorcererhat Tech, Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools that help users write, edit and proofread text aren’t available in Meta apps on iOS. This includes Facebook, WhatsApp and Threads.

iPhone and iPad users usually can tap on a text field to bring up Writing Tools, but that option is missing in Meta’s iOS apps.

Meta has also blocked the ability to use Genmoji, Apple’s AI-generated custom emojis. On top of that, keyboard stickers and Memoji can no longer be added to Instagram Stories, even though they were previously supported.

Meta hasn’t explained why it’s blocking these Apple Intelligence features, but the likely reason is to push users toward its own AI platform Meta AI. Meta AI is available across most of its apps and offers similar features, like writing help and image generation.

A report from The Wall Street Journal last year mentioned that Apple and Meta were in talks about bringing Meta’s AI model Llama to Apple Intelligence. 9to5Mac, in its report, revealed, “This integration would likely be similar to the deal Apple has struck with ChatGPT, which is currently the only third-party partner for Apple Intelligence. While Apple’s own on-device and cloud models power most Apple Intelligence functionality, the company is willing to help user requests about ‘world knowledge’ be transferred to a third party AI model.”

However, Apple since then has reportedly backed out of the deal due to concerns about Meta’s privacy policies. The two companies have also clashed before over App Store rules.

So for now, iOS users won’t be able to use Apple Intelligence in some of the most popular apps out there including Meta’s biggest platforms.

FAQs

Q1. Which Apple Intelligence features are blocked in Meta’s iOS apps?

Answer. Meta has disabled features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, keyboard stickers, and Memoji in apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Threads.

Q2. Why might Meta block Apple Intelligence features?

Answer. Meta is likely promoting its own AI platform, Meta AI, which offers similar functionalities like writing help and image generation.

Q3. What is the update of discussion between Meta and Apple on integrating Meta’s AI model Llama?

Answer. Discussions about integrating Meta’s AI model Llama with Apple Intelligence reportedly broke down due to privacy concerns and past disputes over App Store rules.

GTA 6 Release Date Might’ve Just Leaked? Here’s What We Know

0

Highlights

  • The GTA 6 potential release window was officially set for Autumn 2025.
  • A new leak suggests October or November as the most likely launch period to avoid overlap with other big games.
  • Rockstar has yet to officially announce the exact release date.

image

Caption – Do we finally have an update on when GTA 6 is launching? (Image credit – Rockstar Games)

Rockstar Games has been at work for years on what’s easily one of the most anticipated games ever – Grand Theft Auto 6. Its first trailer dropped at the end of 2023 and smashed multiple world records. But so far, Rockstar hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date for the game.

The wait for the game has turned into a popular meme online while we are all waiting. But not to give everyone any hope, a new leak might have given us a clue about when GTA 6 could finally arrive. Here’s what we know.

So, when is GTA 6 launching?

The only official word we’ve had is that GTA 6 is set to release sometime in Autumn 2025. But that’s a pretty wide window. Thanks to a fresh leak, we might now be able to narrow it down a bit.

Here’s what happened – Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive is also working on another game called Mafia: The Old Country. Its launch date was recently leaked on Steam, a popular online gaming platform. According to the leak, Mafia: The Old Country is expected to release on August 8, 2025.

Now, this is where things get interesting. Big-budget games (AAA titles) usually try not to launch too close to each other to avoid competing for attention and sales. In September 2025, both Borderlands 4 and NBA 2K26 are set to drop. So, with August and September already looking packed, October or November starts to look like the most likely launch window for GTA 6.

That timing would make sense as it fits the official Autumn 2025 window, gives GTA 6 plenty of space to dominate the holiday season, and also makes it eligible for The Game Awards, which typically happen in December.

Of course, nothing’s confirmed yet and all of this is still speculation for now. But if the leak is anything to go by, we might be playing GTA 6 sooner than expected.

FAQs

Q1. When is the official release window for GTA 6?

Answer. Rockstar Games has stated that GTA 6 is set to launch sometime in Autumn 2025.

Q2. What are the rumoured launch months for GTA 6?

Answer. Based on leaks, October or November 2025 seem likely, aligning with the holiday season and avoiding competition from other AAA game launches.

Q3.Why is the rumoured timing significant for GTA 6’s release?

Answer. A late 2025 launch would allow GTA 6 to dominate the holiday season, fit into the official release window, and be eligible for The Game Awards in December.

Apple Vision ‘Air’ Leaked Details Hint at Lighter And Sleeker Version With Titanium Build

0

Highlight

  • Apple Vision Air leaks highlight a lighter and sleeker device that may feature titanium components.
  • The headset might adopt a graphite/dark blue iPhone 5-era colour.
  • It could also drop the “Pro” name in favour of “Air.”
  • Leaked connector image shows a thicker design aligning with reports of two upcoming Vision headsets.

image

Caption – New leak reveals key details about the next-gen Apple Vision Pro models. (Image credit – Apple)

Leaks about Apple’s follow-up to the Vision Pro are picking up and the latest one gives us some interesting hints. According to a new leak on X (formerly Twitter), we should expect a lighter device that could be called the Apple Vision Air.

Shared by leaker Kosutami on X, the post reads, “Our next friend in the Vision lineup is so thin, features titanium to reduce weight, including the connectors and the battery, and all comes with iPhone 5-era black— which looks like graphite dark blue. And be noted: this might not called as —Pro but you can Air it out.”

There’s a lot packed into that one post. Firstly, the device is described as “thin,” suggesting a noticeable redesign.

Leaker also reveals that Titanium will be used not just in the headset, but also in the connectors and battery helping to bring down the weight. And finally, the colour is said to be similar to the iPhone 5’s black, which has a graphite or dark blue tint.

Kosutami also hints it might not carry the “Pro” name, possibly going with “Air” instead.

Later in a follow-up post, the leaker clarified that while aluminium will still be used for most of the exterior, it’ll have a “midnight black like surface.” The titanium will mainly be used inside, again to help with weight reduction.

image

Caption – Leaked image of new connector for the Vision Air. (Image credit – @Kosutami_Ito on X)

That’s not all. Kosutami also shared a look at the new connector for the Vision Air in a completely separate post. The connector image shows what appears to be thicker than the standard Lightning port.

This leak lines up with what Mark Gurman reported recently, where Gurman revealed that Apple is working on two new Vision headsets. According to Gurman, one would be a lighter and more affordable version and another that will be designed to connect to a Mac.

FAQs

Q1. What is the Apple Vision Air, and how is it different from Vision Pro?

Answer. The Apple Vision Air is rumoured to be a lighter and sleeker follow-up to the Vision Pro, featuring a titanium build for weight reduction and possible design refinements.

Q2. What colour and design details have been leaked about the Vision Air?

Answer. The Vision Air may feature a graphite or dark blue color reminiscent of the iPhone 5 and could adopt a “midnight black-like surface” with titanium elements inside.

Q3. What new connector details are known about the Vision Air?

Answer. A leaked image hints at a thicker connector design, which differs from the standard Lightning port used in earlier devices.

New iPhone 17 Pro Leaked Render Reveal Sleek Unibody Camera Design

0

Highlights

  • Leaked iPhone 17 Pro design render shared on X showcases a sleek unibody camera design.
  • The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature the new camera design.
  • The ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air is also expected to introduce some new design elements.

image

Caption – New iPhone 17 Pro latest leaked render. (Image credit – @kdctweets on X)

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to launch in less than five months and we already have several leaked images including dummy phone images floating around online. Recently, a new render was shared by X (formerly Twitter) user kanedacane giving us a fresh look at what the phone’s rear design could look like.

This new image shows off a possible unibody camera design, something that’s been rumoured for a while. While the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air is getting a lot of attention for its major design changes, the Pro models are also expected to get some visual upgrades, especially around the rear camera setup.

Leaks have suggested that Apple is planning a new camera bar design for the iPhone 17 Air, as well as for the Pro and Pro Max versions. Early reports hinted that this might mean a two-tone back, with the camera area in a different shade than the rest of the phone.

However, according to Mark Gurman, “The iPhone 17 Pro won’t have a two-toned back, I’m told. The camera area will be the same colour as the rest of the device.”

That’s exactly what the latest render from kanedacane tries to show. It is a clean, unibody finish where the camera bar blends into the rest of the back.

In any case, we have to take the leaked pictures with a pinch of salt. As with any render, we’ll have to wait until Apple officially unveils the iPhone 17 Pro to know exactly what it looks like. Even though the final product might have some subtle differences, some people online feel that a two-tone design might have looked better.

Samsung’s One UI 7 update rollout hit a sudden pause shortly after it began last week, and now the company has responded, though the details remain pretty vague. After months of waiting, Galaxy users were finally getting the update, only for it to be pulled back without much explanation.

The update was initially released for devices like the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, but it was quietly removed from Samsung’s servers just a few days later. Confirming the pause to Android Authority in a statement, Samsung said it would share a new release timeline “shortly.”

The company said, “The One UI 7 rollout schedule is being updated to ensure the best possible experience. The new timing and availability will be shared shortly.”

While the company hasn’t explained what went wrong, some possible issues are now coming to light.

Tipster Ice Universe claimed that Samsung found a bug where some Galaxy S24 users couldn’t unlock their phones at all. In a post on X, the tipster said, “Samsung urgently reviewed the firmware withdrawal in other countries. Have you ever encountered a bug where your Galaxy phone occasionally cannot be unlocked?”

In a separate post, the tipster also mentioned that the update rollout might resume from April 15.

A Reddit user shared a strange bug where their lock screen appeared squished and stretched, making it unusable. While it’s unclear if this is the same issue Samsung is addressing, it definitely sounds like something that could halt a major software update. Other users have also reported problems like battery drain and even a security concern with the Secure Folder feature.

Android Authority previously reported that Samsung acknowledged the delay on its Korean community forums, calling it a maintenance issue. According to the company, those problems have now been fixed, and the update should start rolling out again soon.

Even if we don’t get the full story, fans have rightly pointed out that One UI 7’s launch is already shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most chaotic software rollouts to date.
