Vivo’s official Weibo handle also posted some camera samples in multiple posts. What really stands out from the released photos is the new portrait photo samples Vivo has posted. The shots show off what the camera can do at 35mm, 50mm and 85mm focal lengths. It’s clear Vivo is trying to prove that the X200 Ultra can take great portraits, no matter the distance.image

A new promo video highlights the X200 Ultra as a serious photography tool, not just another smartphone. The brand is really leaning into the idea that this device could take the place of a DSLR in your bag, especially with the quality of its earlier shared landscape photos and the latest portrait samples.

Vivo X200 Ultra – Camera Specs (Revealed)

We already know the full camera specs and they are impressive. The main 35mm camera uses a Sony LYT-818 sensor and a Zeiss T-coated GLC 2.0 lens. It includes CIPA 5.0-level optical image stabilisation (OIS) and is designed to reduce visible light reflection to under 0.1%. It also uses Vivo’s third-gen VCS bionic spectral imaging tech for better colour and detail.

The ultra-wide camera also uses a LYT-818 sensor, co-developed with Zeiss. It features a 14mm “Hawk Eye” lens, which lets in 181% more light and is 216% faster than the one on the previous model. Plus, it has dual-axis OIS for better stability.

Then there’s the 85mm telephoto lens, powered by a 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor. It’s the first APO-grade telephoto lens on a phone and uses a six-element design. Vivo says it performs 38% better in low light and is 41% more stable, thanks to 5.0-level OIS.

Under the hood, the phone uses Vivo’s first AI image processor, the VS1 chip, which delivers 80 TOPS of processing power. That means it can handle things like real-time bokeh, HDR and multi-frame shooting with ease.

The camera system supports a wide 24mm to 100mm focal range, 4K portrait video and a bunch of advanced night photography modes including Supermoon and Starry Sky.

Moto G86 First Look – Flat Design, Premium Look and a New Slot Revealed

0

Highlights

  • The Moto G86 will reportedly shift to a flat display and frame with a wider camera module.
  • The back might use soft vegan leather for a premium feel.
  • A new slot under the power button has been added, alongside the secondary mic hole and SIM slot.
  • There is no update about expected specs as of now.

Motorola hasn’t officially shared anything about the Moto G86 yet, but it looks like the follow-up to the Moto G85 is getting close. Based on a recent report of a Dutch outlet Nieuwe Mobiel, we now have our first clear look at the new design through leaked renders. Here’s what we know so far.

Moto G86 – Design (Leaked)

image

The Nieuwe Mobiel report has also released some renders of the upcoming Moto G86. Based on the images, we can say that the phone will be ditching the curved display and frame of its predecessor for a flat design.

The bezels look about the same as before and the buttons are still in the same spot along the flat edges.

image

Caption – A closer look at the upcoming Moto G86 from all angles. (Image credit – Nieuwe Mobiel)

The camera module now looks a lot like what we’ve seen on the pricier Moto Edge 60 and Edge 60 Fusion. It’s wider, with a similar lens layout. The back itself seems to use soft vegan leather, giving it a more premium look and feel. If this turns out to be true, it will be a nice touch for a mid-range phone.

There are some other small but interesting design tweaks too. In addition to the usual secondary mic hole on top and SIM slot on the left, there’s now an extra hole right under the power button, something that wasn’t there on the G85.

A Look Back At Predecessor Moto G85

While we don’t know much about the upcoming G86 in terms of features, here’s a quick look back at what its predecessor offered.

The Moto G85 featured a 50MP 1/1.95″ main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP front camera. It ran on a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip and had a 5,000mAh battery. The front was a 6.67-inch FHD+ screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

It was launched with Android 14 and Motorola promised two years of Android updates and three years of security patches. The G85 got its first OS update before any of last year’s Galaxy flagships.

As for the G86, there’s no word yet on specs or features, but we can probably expect some solid improvements, both on paper and in daily use.

Reports suggest that since we’re already in April, there’s a good chance an official launch isn’t far off.

FAQs

Q1. What design changes are rumoured for the Moto G86?

Answer. The Moto G86 is said to feature a flat display and frame, moving away from the curved design of the Moto G85. It will also have a wider camera module resembling the Moto Edge 60 series and may include a soft vegan leather back for a more premium appearance.

Q2. What new addition is located near the power button on the Moto G86?

Answer. There is an extra hole right under the power button, which wasn’t present in the Moto G85. This is in addition to the secondary mic hole on top and the SIM slot on the left.

Q3. What were the key specifications of the Moto G85?

Answer. The Moto G85 included a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 32MP front camera, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 6.67-inch FHD+ screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It launched with Android 14, with two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.

Nothing Phone (3) Set to Launch in Q3 2025, Confirms CEO Carl Pei

0

 Highlights

  • The Nothing CEO confirmed the Phone (3) will be debuting in Q3 2025.
  • This comes after the Phone (3a) series and the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
  • Rumours suggest it may feature advanced specs like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite or Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and an improved Glyph interface.
  • Teasers are likely to start appearing by May or June.

image

Caption – Nothing Phone (3) launch date revealed. (Image credit – Nothing)

Nothing has officially confirmed when the Phone (3) will launch. After rolling out the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro last month and gearing up for the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the company is now turning its focus to its next flagship device.

CEO Carl Pei revealed during an “Ask Me Anything” session on X (formerly Twitter) that the Phone (3) is officially scheduled for release in Q3 2025.

While the Phone (3a) series offers solid value for its price, the Phone (3) is the one fans have really been looking forward to. Pei’s update lines up with Nothing’s usual summer release pattern.

The first Phone (1) launched in July 2022, followed by the Phone (2) in July 2023. So, a July 2025 launch for the Phone (3) seems likely. Still, with Q3 stretching through September, there’s some flexibility if the company needs a little more time to fine-tune things.

We haven’t seen any specs leak yet, which makes sense since the launch is still a few months away. But if Nothing follows its usual strategy, we’ll probably start seeing teasers in May or June, maybe a sneak peek at the design, camera setup, or the processor under the hood.

The Phone (2) came with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a more advanced Glyph interface. The Phone (3) might step things up with something like a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 or even the 8 Gen 3 Elite, along with more polish on that signature LED back.

After skipping a flagship launch in 2024, Nothing’s return to its summer timeline feels like a good sign. The Phone (3) has the potential to be a major upgrade. As of now, we can expect those first official teasers to drop soon!

FAQs

Q1. When will the Nothing Phone (3) launch?

Answer. CEO Carl Pei confirmed the Phone (3) is officially scheduled for release in Q3 2025, with a likely launch in July.

Q2. What can we expect from the Phone (3) in terms of specs?

Answer. Speculations suggest advanced features like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite or Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chips, along with improvements in the Glyph interface.

Q3. When might teasers for the Phone (3) start appearing?

Answer. Teasers are expected to drop by May or June, potentially showcasing its design, camera setup, or hardware details.

Instagram Rolls Out New Blend Feature – A Personalised Reels Feed for You and Your Friends

It looks like Instagram is on a roll of finding creative ways to boost the engagement of reels. Meta’s popular social media app is rolling out a fun new feature called Blend, which lets you and your friends create a personalised Reels feed to enjoy together. Here’s all we know.

What Is Instagram’s New Blend Feature?

Instagram Blend is all about sharing content with the people you talk to most. It’s invite-only and you can create one with just a single friend or a whole group chat. Once you’re in, you’ll get a custom Reels feed that updates daily with videos picked based on everyone’s interests.

The idea is to explore what your friends are into and discover new content together, all while keeping the conversation going in the DMs. When someone reacts to a Reel in the Blend, Instagram will let the rest of the group know, making it easier to chat about it in your messages.

As Instagram puts it, this feature is meant to bring the platform “closer to its roots of sharing moments with friends,” something that’s been a bit lost over time with the rise of influencers and ads.

The feature was discovered by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi for first time last year. Paluzzi even posted his finding on X (formerly Twitter).

This feature isn’t available on TikTok, so it’s a unique move by Instagram to boost Reels discovery and keep people watching content together. However, if the name sounds familiar, that’s because Spotify already has a feature called Blend. It works similarly, combining the music tastes of two or more users into a shared playlist that refreshes daily.

Instagram’s Blend takes that same shared experience concept and applies it to short-form video, giving Reels a more social and personal touch.

How to Start Using Instagram’s Blend Feature?

Here’s how you can start using the Blend feature on your Instagram account.

  • Open a one-on-one or group DM chat.
  • Tap the new Blend icon at the top.
  • Hit “Invite” to ask your chat buddies to join.
  • Once at least one person accepts, your Blend is good to go!

You can revisit it anytime by going back to the same DM chat and tapping the Blend icon again. The feature is currently rolling out in select countries.

FAQs

Q1. What is Instagram’s Blend feature?

Answer. Instagram Blend is an invite-only feature that allows users to create personalised Reels feeds with friends or group chats, updated daily based on shared interests.

Q2. How does Blend bring users closer to Instagram’s social roots?

Answer. Blend encourages shared exploration of content, making it easier for users to discover new videos together and discuss them in direct messages.

Q3. How can users activate the Blend feature on Instagram?

Answer. Users can open a DM chat, tap the Blend icon, send invites to friends or group members, and start their personalised Reels feed once someone accepts the invitation.

Apple Is Assembling iPhone 16e in Brazil to Cut Back on China Production: Report

0

Highlights

  • Apple has begun assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil from the start to diversify production away from China.
  • Local production helps Apple mitigate US-China tariff impacts with Brazilian-made iPhones priced lower due to likely tariff exemptions.
  • Apple collaborates with Foxconn to expand manufacturing in Brazil and leverage lower tariffs (10%) on imports to the US.

It is no news that Apple has been focusing on diversifying its production bases for a while now. And now new report reveals that Apple is already building the iPhone 16e in Brazil as part of its efforts to move some of its production out of China. The shift comes amid the ongoing US-China trade tensions with high import tariffs making things trickier for companies like Apple. Here’s what we know.

iPhone 16e Production Begins in Brazil

According to an international publication named MacMagazine, Apple has been assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil since the very beginning. While Apple has produced iPhones in Brazil before, it usually took a few months after the launch of a new model to start local assembly but they didn’t wait this time.

Customers in Brazil who bought the iPhone 16e noticed a label on the box that reads, “Assembled in Brazil – Brazilian Industry.”

Apple also confirms this on its official Brazilian store, where the purchase URL for the iPhone 16e includes a model number ending in “BR/A”, the code for products made in Brazil. Imported models carry the “BE/A” label instead.

Anatel, Brazil’s telecom regulator, also confirms that the iPhone 16e is being assembled in Brazil, as well as in China and India.

Pricing and Tariffs

In Brazil, the iPhone 16e is priced at around $890. But thanks to local production and likely tariff exemptions, it’s already selling for as low as $670 at some retailers. For comparison, the same model starts at $600 in the US.

Apple’s decision to ramp up production in Brazil is closely tied to growing tariff concerns. The company is reportedly working with Foxconn to expand its manufacturing facilities in Brazil, hoping to avoid steep US import taxes on devices made in China.

Even though the US government recently made some exceptions to Trump-era tariffs, a new White House document suggests that Chinese products could still face tariffs as high as 245%. China has responded with its own tariff increases on American goods.

Meanwhile, goods imported from Brazil are only hit with a 10% tariff, which is much less than what products from China might face. That’s why Apple sees Brazil as a smart alternative for iPhone production. Reports also say Apple flew in multiple shipments of iPhones and other gear from India and China before the new tariffs kicked in.

FAQs

Q1. Why is Apple assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil?

Answer. Apple is assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil to reduce reliance on China for production, driven by US-China trade tensions and high import tariffs.

Q2. What benefits does local production in Brazil offer Apple?

Answer. Local production in Brazil allows Apple to avoid steep tariffs, enabling lower pricing for Brazilian-made iPhones and minimizing costs for exports to the US.

Q3. Is the iPhone 16e being assembled exclusively in Brazil?

Answer. No, the iPhone 16e is also being assembled in China and India, as confirmed by Brazil’s telecom regulator, Anatel.
