The Oppo Find X7 series is poised to make an entry in the smartphone market next month.
However, contrary to earlier expectations of a three-model lineup including a base, Pro, and Ultra variant, recent leaks indicate a shift in strategy.
The series is now rumoured to consist of two main models – the standard Oppo Find X7 and two versions of the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, with one variant featuring advanced satellite communications technology.
In terms of specs that are consistent across all three, the devices are expected to boast a substantial 5,000mAh battery capacity, supported by an impressive 100W charging speed.
Notably, the Ultra variants are expected to offer an additional 50W wireless charging capability.
The design and other elements of both devices will be very similar, as per leaks.
The Hasselblad partnership is also likely to continue across the lineup.
Apart from that you are getting some of the best displays in the business from the recently launched BOE which also supplied the panels on the OnePlus 12.
Beyond that leaks don’t get us too far, but here is what else you can expect from the two handsets.
The introduction of satellite communication in one of the Ultra models signifies Oppo’s foray into enhanced connectivity options, potentially offering users an edge in remote areas.
Oppo is not the only one doing this as well with Samsung and Apple also big players in this recent implementation of satellite-based communication.

The Oppo Find X7 is expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, a high-refresh-rate 120Hz display, and 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM along with 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.
It will run on Android 14 and feature a 5,000mAh battery supported by 100W wired fast charging.
The Ultra variants of the Oppo Find X7 Series, including one with satellite communications, are set to offer more advanced specifications.
These include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a specialized quad-camera setup, and the added benefit of 50W wireless charging along with the standard 100W wired charging.
According to leaks, the Find X7 Pro might depart from the Find X6 Pro’s design, featuring a rounded silver metal frame and a distinct hexagonal camera module.
This shift could include a soft finish or faux leather rear panel, representing a significant aesthetic evolution from the previous model.
While not confirmed, there is speculation that the Find X7 Pro could support rapid charging technologies, including 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
This implies a significant improvement in charging efficiency and possibly a larger battery capacity than the 5000mAh battery in the Find X6 Pro.
The Find X7 Ultra is poised to be the highlight of the series, offering the same powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as the Pro model but with a larger 5,000mAh battery.
It is expected to feature a superior camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX858 telephoto sensor, a 3x zoom Sony IMX890 sensor, and possibly a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor.
The OPPO Find X7 series, including the Find X7 and X7 Pro, is rumoured to launch either by the end of January or in early February 2024.
This timing strategically places its debut before the Chinese Spring Festival, marking an early release compared to previous models.
The OPPO Find X7 is rumored to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, up to 6GB of LPDDR5T RAM, and a massive 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The device is expected to run on Color OS 14 based on Android 14 and will likely include a high-refresh-rate 120Hz display panel.
The Find X7 Pro is anticipated to elevate the series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and OPPO’s innovative HyperTone camera system.
These features suggest a significant enhancement in both processing power and photographic capabilities over the standard model.
The OPPO Find X7 has scored a total of 2,270,677 on the AnTuTu benchmark. This score reflects its robust performance, particularly scoring high in CPU and GPU tests, indicating the phone’s strong processing and graphics capabilities.
According to the AnTuTu listing, the OPPO Find X7 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal storage.
It also boasts a high-refresh-rate display and runs on the latest Android 14 OS.
The OPPO Find X7 has outperformed the Vivo X100, which also uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, in the AnTuTu benchmark scores.
This suggests that OPPO has effectively optimized the Find X7 to leverage the chipset’s potential.
