Oppo is reportedly revising its plans for the upcoming Find X10 smartphone lineup. Earlier rumours suggested that the series would include the Find X10, Find X10 Pro and Find X10 Pro Max models.
However, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station now claims that the company could delay the Find X10 Pro Max with the possibility of the device being cancelled after all. Here’s what we know about both phones so far.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared fresh details about the alleged Oppo Find X10 Ultra. According to the leak, the engineering prototype of the smartphone is currently being tested with a 3x periscope telephoto camera.
The report further states that Oppo is evaluating two different sensor options for the periscope camera. The company is reportedly considering either a 200-megapixel 1/1.2-inch sensor or a 200-megapixel 1/1.28-inch sensor for the setup.
On paper, the larger 1/1.2-inch sensor is expected to deliver better camera performance because bigger sensors generally capture more light. This could help improve low-light photography, background separation, and overall image quality. However, the 1/1.28-inch sensor is also quite large, and the final image output may ultimately depend on Oppo’s software tuning, lens quality, and image processing capabilities.
The same tipster had previously claimed that Oppo is also testing a 200-megapixel 1/1.12-inch primary camera sensor with LOFIC support for the Find X10 series.
While the future of the Find X10 Pro Max remains uncertain, earlier rumours had already revealed several possible specifications for the device. The smartphone was tipped to feature a 200-megapixel main camera using a 1/1.3-inch sensor along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera based on a 1/1.28-inch sensor.
Reports had also suggested that the ultra-wide camera could either use a 200-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor or a smaller 50-megapixel sensor.
Display testing for the device was also reportedly underway with two possible panel options under consideration. Oppo was said to be evaluating a 6.89-inch 2K LTPO flat display and a slightly smaller 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display.
As for SoCs, the Find X10 series is expected to be powered by next-generation MediaTek chipsets. The lineup could include the rumoured Dimensity 9600 Pro processor built on a 2nm process, while other models in the series may feature the Dimensity 9600 and Dimensity 9500 Plus chipsets.’
