Realme is all set to launch the Realme 16T 5G in India today i.e. May 22. The brand has been teasing some of the key features of the handset for the past few weeks via teasers on social media and a dedicated microsite. And just a few hours ahead of the official announcement, the smartphone’s pricing details have leaked online revealing the expected cost of all storage variants.
According to a reliable tipster on X, the Realme 16T 5G is expected to arrive in three configurations. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model could be priced at Rs 29,999, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant may cost Rs 31,999. The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option is tipped to carry a price tag of Rs 34,999.
The tipster also mentioned that despite the ongoing memory price hike situation, the pricing still appears to be on the higher side for several reasons.
Anyhow, this pricing aligns with previous leaks where even an image of the retail box of the phones was spotted online.
Apart from the leaked pricing, previous reports have already revealed several key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
One of the major highlights of the device is said to be its large 8,000mAh battery. The phone is expected to support 45W fast charging along with bypass charging technology. Realme claims the handset can deliver up to three days of battery life on a single charge under ideal usage conditions. The company also says the phone can support up to 11 hours of BGMI gameplay at 60fps.
Despite packing a massive battery, the smartphone is still expected to feature a slim 8.8mm body. It includes IP69-rated water and dust resistance, military-grade durability and comes in three colour options named Aurora Green, Starlight Red and Starlight Black.
The Realme 16T is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. The handset has also reportedly appeared on Geekbench with Android 16 and up to 8GB RAM.
The Realme 16T is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch flat LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, earlier leaks have suggested that the phone may come with relatively thick bezels indicating that the focus may not be entirely on premium design aesthetics.
For photography, the handset is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It is also being marketed as the segment’s first selfie-mirror phone. On the front, the device could feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The company is also expected to bring several AI-powered photography features including portrait enhancements and automated editing tools.
