* The M3 chip is expected to deliver better performance and efficiency thanks to the 3nm fabrication process. * The CPU core count on the M3 chip is expected to be the same as the M2 chip. * M3-powered iPad Pro with OLED display will not arrive until next year. * Apple is expected to debut the M3 chipset around October this year. * The company might use the 2nd generation TSMC 3nm process for its M3 chipset. * The M3 chipset will most likely power the upcoming iMac, M3 13-inch MacBook Air and M3 MacBook Pro.
After the WWDC event in June this year, Apple is readying for its major hardware event that are slated to take place later this year.
The WWDC event had no mention of the rumoured M3 chipset but we could be hearing about it very soon. This is expected to take place at Apple’s rumoured hardware event in October.
The rumours of Macs powered by the new M3 chip arriving later this year have been making internet rounds for a while. Now, we have a fresh report that reveals a more specific release timeline.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has claimed Apple is eying the October launch of the new Macs powered by the new M3 chipset. There will be three new devices in the first batch, followed by others next year.
Apple M3 Chip May Power New iMac, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air
Apple M3 Chip
In the latest edition of his weekly newsletter Power On, Gurman has revealed that Apple is preparing to release a new iMac, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 13-inch MacBook Air powered by the new M3 chipset.
These new Macs are expected to arrive in October, after the much-awaited September event. The latter is the event where we will meet the new iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch models.
It is currently unknown if Applewill hold a separate launch event for new iMacs in October.
There is a possibility it may decide to announce new products through press releases. We have seen Apple follow both paths from time to time for Mac launches in the past.
M3 chipset
The M3 chipset will be an M2 chip successor but is expected to have the same number of CPU cores.
The biggest difference between the two chips is the jump from TSMC’s 5-nanometer silicon fabrication process to the 3-nanometer silicon fabrication process.
This change is expected to help M3 deliver improved performance and better efficiency.
The new M3 iMac will likely continue with a 24-inch display, as Gurman has predicted a 32-inch iMac launch in late 2024.
Apple also has an iPad Pro featuring an OLED displayand an M3 chip under development, but it will not arrive this year. Its release is expected to happen sometime in 2024. There are also rumours of a foldable display MacBook coming in 2025.
Most recently, Apple launched a new 15-inch MacBook Pro powered by M2 chipset at WWDC 2023. A new Mac Pro joined it with an M2 Ultra processor and a Mac Studio with M2 Max and M2 Ultra chipsets.
These devices were scheduled to arrive much earlier but got delayed due to supply chain issues. The new MacBook Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900, and Mac Studio at Rs 2,09,900 in India.
If you are interested in the Mac Pro, you will have to pay Rs 7,29,900 for the Tower variant and Rs 7,79,000 for the Rack variant.
New M3-Powered machines from Apple are coming
New M3-Powered
* According to the latest report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to debut the M3-powered iMac, M3 13-inch MacBook Air and M3 MacBook Pro at an event in October. * Apart from having an event in September to launch the iPhone 15 series, Apple Watch Series 9 and probably a new tablet, the company is said to host another event in October. * The M3-powered machines could include the iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and a 13-inch MacBook Pro. * The report doesn’t mention any specific timeline for the event in October but Apple has a habit of announcing dates closer to the launch. * Since Apple has not mentioned anything about the M3 Mac products, the news may or may not pan out to be true. Besides the Mac machines, there is also a report that the company is working on an iPad Pro model with a large 14.1-inch display that could be powered by the M3 Pro chipset, which might debut next year.
Another report, citing TF Security analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, suggested that Apple may use the 2nd generation TSMC 3nm process for its M3 and A17 Bionic chipsets.
This also mentioned that these chips will be powering the upcoming Mac computers in 2023. The M3 Pro or M3 Max processors are expected to go into production in the first half of 2024.

1) Apple M3-powered Mac devices expected to launch in October this year. Details?
Ans) Apple has been working on its next-generation Apple Silicon chips, and now it looks like the Cupertino-based tech giant is all set to release devices powered by the new Apple M3 chip in the coming months.
According to the latest report from Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, he says that Apple could launch new Mac devices powered by the M3 chip in October this year.
He adds that Apple could launch the new iMac and 13-inch MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, all powered by the M3 processor. It may seem that M3-powered devices are coming too soon, especially with M2 Ultra-powered devices getting launched last month. If the speculations are correct, the M2 lineup of chips got delayed because of supply chain issues.
As for the Apple Silicon M3 processor, the chip is expected to have similar core counts as its predecessor but with enhanced performance and efficiency as the chipset is reportedly being manufactured using the new 3-nanometer (3nm) fabrication process.
It is not yet confirmed if the company plans to hold a launch event for the new M3 chip and devices powered by it or if the company will make an announcement thorugh a press release. Whatever the case, we should know about it in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Apple is gearing up for its upcoming flagship smartphones and smartwatch in the month of September. The company will launch Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineup along with the Apple Watch Series 9.
2) M3 Silicon-based MacBooks To Arrive Sooner Than You Think.Details?
Ans) WWDC 2023 saw the unveiling of the much-awaited 15-inch MacBook Air, the new Mac Studio, and M2 Pro and Ultra chipsets. However, we are yet to be treated with M3-based Macs.
And with the year close to its end, we are expecting this to happen sooner than later. Earlier, a rumor suggested that M3-based Macs and MacBooks are set to arrive by the end of this year or by the first half of next year. Thanks to Gurman, we have received a much more conclusive launch window.
3) M3-equipped Macs Coming Soon?
Ans) Gurman via his Power On Newsletter has revealed that Apple is gearing up to expand its Mac portfolio with M3 Apple silicon as early as October. The first products to gain the M3 chipset will be the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the next iMac. Although Gurman has not hinted at an exact debut date, we can expect Apple to make the announcement at the September iPhone 15 launch event with the official unveiling somewhere in October.
However, it seems like Apple will keep M3-based high-end MacBook Pros (14-inch and 16-inch models) and the Mac Studio for 2024. Gurman states that “October is too early for new high-end MacBook Pros or desktops, so the first beneficiaries of the new chip should be the next iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and 13-inch MacBook Pro.“
If you can recall, back in May, Gurman reported that Apple is testing a high-end M3 chipset with 12 CPU cores and 18 GPU cores. The rumored chip is expected to be the M3 Pro chipset and is said to be engineered on TSMC’s 3nm fabrication process. This means that by the time October arrives, the M3 chipsets will be sufficiently tested and made compatible for a conclusive launch.
Further, the M3-based iPad Pro is also expected to make its entry next year and Gurman suggests that there might not be any major upgrades, except for the presence of an OLED display. This was also hinted at in a previous leak.
Although we can rely on Gurman’s notability, we will urge you to take this information with a grain of salt. Until and unless we gain some official insight and input, it will be best to stay skeptical with a hint of optimism.
With that being said, we would like to know your thoughts on this new update. Are you excited about Apple’s next Silicon? Are you planning to purchase M3-based Macs? Don’t forget to comment below!
* Apple is known to introduce new colour options with the iPhone series every year. * The iPhone 15 is reported to arrive in a total of six colours. * The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to come in a dark blue shade with a grey tone.
The iPhone 15could be offered in more new colors than previously thought, with a leak claiming the lineup could include a pink option for 2023.
When we talk about new iPhone models, features and specifications are not the only thing Apple fans are excited about. They are also eager to find out what new iPhone colours will be available for purchase.
Apple is rumoured to introduce three new colour options for the upcoming iPhone 15. These will be in addition to the three colours we get with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Reliable Apple insider ShrimpApplePro has endorsed a leak from Chinese social media site Weibo (a frequent source of Apple information), revealing that the iPhone 15 will come in three new colors: green, light yellow and pink. The full range of colors is as follows:
The new colors are italicized, and it is worth noting that light yellow is distinct from the existing strong yellow finish on the iPhone 14 lineup. If correct, the leak would mean that Apple is dropping blue, purple, and the deeper yellow finishes this year.
While opinions about Apple’s choice of colors will be subjective, the real surprise here is the extent of the changes. Apple tends to change one or two colors each year, but not three.
Moreover, the decisions here are eye-opening because a market report in March claimed that blue and purple were the most popular color choices for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus buyers.
On the flip side, pink has been the most requested iPhone color for years, and rumors of a bubblegum pink finish first leaked in March though that report also claimed a new brighter blue color would be introduced.
Apple has also shown its willingness to bend to customer demand this year by releasing a 15-inch MacBook Air.
The finishes of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models have been subject to similar speculation, with conflicting reports that Apple will release a new hero color in dark red or deep blue.
iPhone 15 Pro
Uncertainty also surrounds the price of the new iPhone 15 range, with leaks claiming prices for Pro models may increase by as much as $200. A new titanium chassis may be a factor in that.
More certain are the core upgrades for both models, with iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models getting a next-gen 3nm A17 chipset, super thin bezels, upgraded UWB and a solid-state Action button that replaces the mute switch.
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are expected to copy the iPhone 14 Pro design and use their A16 chip, while every iPhone 15 model will transition from Lightning to USB-C.
As the September launch of the iPhone 15 gets closer, rumors about the color choices of Apple are becoming more frequent. In the latest leak, it is proposed that there could be a bunch of colors available for the non-Pro models.
non-Pro models.
In a Saturday tweet by prolific leaker @VnchocoTaco, also known as “ShrimpApplePro,” an image of what appears to be a Weibo post is shared. The post, translated from Chinese, mentions that there is to be the use of “green, light yellow, and pink” models.
If true, the range of color options for the iPhone 15 could be, according to Shrimp:
While Shrimp does have a history of providing Apple-related leaks, the Weibo-based screenshot offers a relatively small amount of proof.
An image is included in the post depicting a Foxconn security badge, with the photo covered by a thumb, as if to prove the source works for Apple’s assembly partner.
iPhone lineup
In previous leaks, another Weibo leaker offered in July that the iPhone 15 would use a green color, at the same time as reporting on a crimson iPhone 15 Pro shade. In February, leaks put forward a pink and blue iPhone 15 and a dark red iPhone 15 Pro.
There’s no guarantee at all that the leaks about colors are completely accurate, especially for launch. Apple does habitually update the iPhone lineupwith a mid-year color addition, so it is plausible one color may not arrive until spring 2024.
Ans) A well-known Apple tipster ShrimpApplePro (@VNchocoTaco), has tweeted three new colour options coming with the iPhone 15. These are said to be Green, Pink, and Yellow (a lighter shade) alongside the existing colours Midnight, Starlight, and Product (RED). This way, the total number of colour options will remain to be six.
If the leak is correct, Apple is ready to bid farewell to the Blue, Purple, and darker Yellow options we currently get. The iPhone 15 was previously reported to arrive in a Light Blue colour option, too, but it seems like Apple has changed plans now.
It should be noted that there is no surety if Apple will launch all six colours on the same day as the iPhone 15 launch. The Cupertino-based tech giant is known for saving one iPhone colour option for Spring refresh. We saw it released Green as the new colour for iPhone 11 and repeated it with the iPhone 13. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 14 received a Purple and Yellow paint refresh, respectively.
As for iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple is expected to debut these with a new dark Blue colour with a grey shade. It is said to have a brushed finish due to titanium material which will be different from what we get with stainless steel. This new colour is expected to arrive alongside Space Gray/Space Black, Silver, and Titanium Gray shades. Some reports speculate there may also be a Crimson Red colour option. Overall, we suggest you take these iPhone 15 colour leaks with a pinch of salt.
In other related rumours, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is tipped to become the most expensive iPhone in history. This is largely because of a number of exclusive features that Apple will offer. It is expected to come with a titanium frame that will replace the stainless steel frame we currently get. There will be improvements in the camera department, and it will have a bigger camera bump.
We are finally expected to get a USB Type-C port with the iPhone 15 series. Battery capacity is another department where Apple is expected to offer improvements.
2) iPhone 15 launch update: Apple may introduce two new colours.Details?
Ans) Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 series will reportedly come with stronger titanium construction and new colour options. The company is expected to introduce two new colour options for the iPhone 15 lineup — a dark red colour for the iPhone 15 Pro and a green colour for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, reports Gizmochina.
The new red colour for the iPhone 15 Pro is named “crimson” and will likely be slightly lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro’s deep purple colour.
However, the green colour for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus is expected to be similar to the green of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11.
The iPhone 15’s standard colour options, which are rumoured to include silver, space grey and gold, would be expanded by these new colours.
The company has not yet officially announced the release date of the iPhone 15 series, but it is expected to launch in September this year, the report said.
Earlier, it was rumoured that the company would integrate the Proximity Sensor inside the “Dynamic Island” area (the pill and hole cutouts at the top of the display) in the iPhone 15 series.
The proximity sensor detects when the user holds the phone up to their ear and shuts off the screen.

* The Infinix GT 10 Pro comes with a Nothing Phone-like semi-transparent back design. * There will be two phones in the series, featuring Mediatek Dimensity chipsets. * The phones are expected to come with 108MP triple camera and optimisations for popular games. * Infinix GT 10 Pro+ leaked images show a transparent rear panel. * The handset is tipped to be powered by a Dimensity 8050 SoC. * The Infinix GT 10 Pro+ appears to resemble the Nothing Phone 2.
Infinixseems to be taking a page out of Nothing’s playbook for its upcoming phone. The brand is releasing two phones in its brand-new GT series, the Infinix GT 10 Pro and GT 10 Pro+, which have an uncanny resemblance to Nothing’s trademark transparent design language.
These smartphones will come with a focus on gaming and seem to feature a semi-transparent back similar to the newly launched Nothing Phone (2).
In fact, Nothing CEO Carl Pei responded to a leaked graphic of the phone in a tweet last week. He said, “Time to get the lawyers ready!.”
Infinix GT 10 Pro+ has surfaced online in a new leak that reveals the design and key specifications of the handset.
The Chinese smartphone maker previously revealed that it was working on a handset that would resemble the design of the Nothing Phone 2 that was recently launched by the UK-based startup led by Carl Pei.
Infinix GT 10 Pro Gaming Smartphone
The upcoming smartphone series is tipped to comprise the Infinix GT 10 Pro and Infinix GT 10 Pro+, according to details shared by a tipster on a Chinese microblogging website.
Weibo user Perfect Arrangement Digital (translated from Chinese) leaked images (via Abhishek Yadav) of two smartphones — the Infinix GT 10 Pro and GT 10 Pro+ — that are expected to make their debut in China soon.
The image of the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ suggests that the device will sport a transparent rear panel. Tipster Yogesh Brar tweeted that the handset will have a clear rear glass panel located aboveLED strips.
The key specifications of the handsets appear on the “About phone” section of the settings app in the leaked images. The Infinix GT 10 Pro+ is shown to be powered by a Dimensity 8050 chipset, while the GT 10 Pro model will be equipped with a Dimensity 1300 SoC.
Both phones will sport full-HD+ displays and run on Android 13. They will feature a 108-megapixel triple-rear camera setup and a 32-megapixel selfie camera, as per the leaked images that show both handsets will pack 5,000mAh batteries.
Infinix GT 10 Pro India Launch
Infinix GT 10 Pro India Launch
According to a new report by GSMArena, the vanilla model in the new series, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is coming to India in the month of August, and then release elsewhere. It is expected to provide “high gaming features” at an “affordable price.”
The report also revealed some official images of the phone showcasing its semi-transparent design in two colour options. However, the GT 10 Pro does seem to lack LED strips though, so it may not light up like the Phone (2) after all.
As per the report, the phone is tipped to house a MediaTek Dimensity series chipset. It will feature a triple camera setup with 108MP main camera and a ring-like flashlight design.
Infinix has also optimized this phone for popular games such as PUBG, MLBB, and Free Fire for a better gaming experience.
When it comes to the software, the phone will come with Android 13-based XOS 13 and receive just one Android upgrade and two years of security patches.
Interestingly, the box of the phone will transform into an eco-friendly amplifier for Infinix GT 10 Pro’s in-built speaker. We reported on the device’s existence back in March and it was expected to be a flagship modelin the brand’s range however that does not seem to be the case anymore.
* Display: Both phones will feature a 2400x1080p display. * Chipset: Infinix GT 10 Pro will feature Mediatek Dimensity 1300 SoC while the GT 10 Pro+ features Dimensity 8050 chipset. * Cameras: Both phones get a 108MP main camera sensor. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. * RAM and storage: The GT 10 Pro will come in an 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant while the GT 10 Pro+ will come with at least 8GB/256GB configuration.
Earlier this week, Infinix revealed via a press release that the company is working on a smartphone that will resemble the Nothing Phone 2, sharing a diagram of the phones next to each other with a similar curved LED notification strip located at the centre of the rear panel.
At the time, the Chinese smartphone firm had suggested that the phone will debut as part of a new GT series of phones aimed at gamers. The images leaked on Weibo match the diagram shared by Infinix, including the camera module that is aligned to the top left corner of the phone..
Nothing CEO Carl Pei responded to a tipster who posted the information leaked by the company, stating that it was “Time to get the lawyers ready”.
However, it is currently unclear whether these LED strips on the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ will mimic the functionality of Nothing’s smartphones.
Infinix GT 10 Pro, a gaming smartphone landing in early August
Gaming Smartphone
According to latest information , Infinix is working on a gaming-oriented smartphone that is due to launch in the first week of August, starting in India.
This will be called Infinix GT 10 Pro, and is aiming to provide high gaming features at an affordable price.
The phone’s back seems to adopt a Nothing-like semi-transparent design, although the design is quite far from that of the Nothing phones.
The camera island especially seems like it’s from an entirely different world. There’s also a prevailing ‘gaming phone’ aesthetic here, which is fitting. We see three camera sensors on the back, and a ring LED flash.
The main sensor will have 108 MP resolution according to the inscription on the diagonal stripe inside the camera island.
There’s a Dimensity chipset at the helm, although our source hasn’t shared which exact one. We do however know that games like PUBG, MLBB, and Free Fire will be specially optimized to deliver impressive frame rates and stunning visuals on the GT 10 Pro.
The box lets you use it to build an eco-friendly music amplifier, so it doesn’t just sit around on a shelf, useless, once you’ve taken the phone out.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro will be available in at least two colors, as seen below – a darker one and a white. It will run XOS 13based on Android 13.
The experience will be close to stock, and the phone will get one major Android update and two years of security updates, as will all members of the GT series.
GT 10 Pro’s launch is still a few weeks away.
1) Infinix GT 10 Pro series leaked live images show off Nothing Phone (2)-like LED lights.Details?
Ans) Infinix is gearing up to introduce its highly anticipated GT series of gaming-centric smartphones in the Indian market. The lineup is set to include two devices, namely the Infinix GT 10 Pro and the Infinix GT 10 Pro+.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro+ has emerged as the more intriguing option among the two smartphones. One of its standout features is its transparent back, reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (2). The back panel of the device showcases captivating orange patterns and an intriguing C-shaped marking, potentially indicating the presence of LED lights.
Leaked images have also provided insights into the alleged specifications of both phones. The GT 10 Pro variant is expected to boast a Full HD+ display, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 108 MP primary camera on the rear. Additionally, it is expected to feature a 32 MP front-facing camera for selfies. It will be powered by the Dimensity 1300 chip, accompanied by 256 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM, and an additional 8 GB of virtual RAM.
On the other hand, the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ is expected to be the more premium offering, equipped with the Dimensity 8050 chipset. Both models will operate on XOS 13.0, based on the latest Android 13 platform. The Infinix GT 10 Pro+ is poised to be an exciting addition to the gaming phone market.
Although its official release date and pricing details are yet to be unveiled, the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ is undoubtedly a device worth keeping a close eye on. Indian consumers can expect the arrival of the Infinix GT 10 Pro series in the near future as well.
2) Infinix GT 10 Pro+ will have Nothing Phone (2)-like design.Details?
Ans) Infinix is planning to introduce two new smartphones dubbed Infinix GT 10 Pro and GT 10 Pro+.
The models have appeared in hands-on images shared on Twitter by tipster Abhishek Yadav.
While the Pro model appears to be having a polycarbonate back, the Pro+ can be seen with a glass back, showcasing the internal components—something similar to Nothing’s style philosophy.
A few days ago, renowned tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that Infinix is planning to introduce a new smartphone under a completely new GT series, and it would look very similar to the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2) models.
Two days after his tip-off, we are now getting hands-on images of the device.
As per Sharma, the phone will launch in India next month.

* Yaccarino started working at Twitter in early June as CEO * Yaccarino was former ad chief at Comcast’s NBCUniversal * Twitter has been criticized over lax content moderation
Twitter’s cash flow remains negative because of a nearly 50 percent drop in advertising revenue and a heavy debt load, Elon Musk said on Saturday, falling short of his expectation in March that Twitter could reach cash flow positive by June.
“Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else,” Musk said in a tweet replying to suggestions on recapitalization.
This is the latest sign that the aggressive cost-cutting measures since Musk acquired Twitter in October alone are not enough to get Twitter to cash flow positive, and suggests Twitter’s ad revenuemay have not recovered as fast asMusksuggested in an interview in April with the BBC that most advertisers had returned to the site.
Twitter
After laying off thousands of employees and cutting cloud service bills, Musk had said the company reduced its non-debt expenditures to $1.5 billion from a projected $4.5 billion in 2023.
Twitter also faces annual interest payments of about $1.5 billion as a result of the debt it took on in the $44 billion deal that turned the company private.
It is unclear what time frame Musk was referring to by the 50% drop in ad revenue. He has said Twitter was on track to post $3 billion in revenue in 2023, down from $5.1 billion in 2021.
Twitter has been criticized over lax content moderation, followed by an exodus of many advertisers who did not want their ads appearing next to inappropriate content.
Musk’s hiring of Linda Yaccarino, former ad chief at Comcast’s NBCUniversal as CEO, signaled that ad sales are a priority for Twitter even as it works to increase subscription revenue.
Yaccarino started working at Twitter in early June and has told investors Twitter plans to focus on video, creator and commerce partnerships and is in early talks with political and entertainment figures, payments services, and news and media publishers.
On Thursday, Twitter said that select content creators will be eligible to get a part of the ad revenue the company earns in an attempt to draw more content creators tothe site.
Twitter is still spending more money than it’s making, according to Elon Musk. In the early hours of Saturday morning, the billionaire tweeted the company was suffering from an ongoing negative cash flow issue due to an approximately 50 percent drop in advertising revenue and heavy debt burden.
“Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else,” Musk said.
The admission comes in the same week that Twitter’s ad-revenue sharing program began paying out some creators, including a handful of far-right influencers.
On Friday, Musk also claimed the social network could see “all-time high device user seconds usage” sometime this week. He also previously said almost all the advertisers who had left the platform following his takeover in October had “either come back” or “said they will come back.”
According to an estimate research firm Sensor Tower shared with Bloomberg, advertising spending fell by 89 percent to $7.6 million during a two-month period earlier this year. Per Reuters, Twitter has annual interest payments of about $1.5 billion due to the debt the company took on when Musk took it private for $44 billion.
This is the latest sign the aggressive cost-cutting measures Musk has undertaken in the last year have not been enough to put the company on solid financial footing.
It also suggests the company’s newly appointed CEO, Linda Yaccarino, has her work cut out for her as she works to rebuild Twitter’s advertising base.
Twitter ad revenue is falling due to many reasons
At the same time, Bloombergclaims that Twitter’s advertising business fell by 89% in the last two months. Also, Reuters reports that Twitter pays $1.5 billion annually to repay the company’s loan realized just after Musk took it over.
Twitter ad revenue and the overall situation in the company obviously forced Musk to sharply cut costs. We have also seen that in some cases he has gone too far. A bizarre example happened not so long ago when Twitter stopped paying rent for its business offices.
How will the Twitter saga end, remains to be seen. Competition in the form of Zuckerberg’s Threads is doing pretty well at this point. What is more intriguing, it has achieved a major milestone even without EU users, due to regulation issues.
Elon Musk added that “positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else”. Meanwhile, newly appointed CEO Linda Yaccarinao said that Twitter is working hard to establish a new base of advertisers, in order to overcome these negative trends.
Faqs
1) Twitter’s Cash Flow Still Negative As Ad Revenue Drops 50%, Says Elon Musk.Details?
Ans) Twitter’s cash flow remains negative because of a nearly 50% drop in advertising revenue and a heavy debt load, Elon Musk said on Saturday, falling short of his expectation in March that Twitter could reach cash flow positive by June.
“Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else,” Mr Musk said in a tweet replying to suggestions on recapitalization.
This is the latest sign that the aggressive cost-cutting measures since Elon Musk acquired Twitter in October alone are not enough to get Twitter to cash flow positive, and suggests Twitter’s ad revenue may have not recovered as fast as Mr Musk suggested in an interview in April with the BBC that most advertisers had returned to the site.
After laying off thousands of employees and cutting cloud service bills, Mr Musk had said the company reduced its non-debt expenditures to $1.5 billion from a projected $4.5 billion in 2023. Twitter also faces annual interest payments of about $1.5 billion as a result of the debt it took on in the $44 billion deal that turned the company private.
It is unclear what time frame Elon Musk was referring to by the 50% drop in ad revenue.
2) What’s the latest update from Twitter for context creators ?
Ans) Yaccarino started working at Twitter in early June and has told investors Twitter plans to focus on video, creator and commerce partnerships and is in early talks with political and entertainment figures, payments services, and news and media publishers.
On Thursday, Twitter said that select content creators will be eligible to get a part of the ad revenue the company earns in an attempt to draw more content creators to the site.
