Vivo X500 Camera Details Confirmed: 50MP Sony LYT-838 Sensor and 64MP Periscope Telephoto

0

Highlights

  • Vivo X500 confirmed to feature a 50MP Sony LYT‑828 primary sensor with Zeiss gimbal stabilisation.
  • It also packs a 64MP Sony LYTIA‑610 periscope telephoto with CIPA 5.5 stabilisation, 4K/120fps video, and support for Vivo’s Lipstick 200 telephoto extender.
  • Other expected specs include a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED, Dimensity 9500 chipset, 7,500mAh battery with 90W wired + 40W wireless charging and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

Vivo X500 Series is expected to come out in China this month and the brand has been teasing key features since the past few weeks. The series is expected to include three main models named Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. We have already reported on the official updates related to the camera specs of the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. And now, key camera specifications of the standard Vivo X500 have been confirmed.

Vivo X500 Camera Specifications Confirmed

In a recent post on the Chinese app named Weibo, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has confirmed the camera hardware of the standard Vivo X500, giving us a better idea of what to expect from the phone.

Vivo X500 camera specs confirmed. (Image credit – Vivo)

According to the official teaser, the Vivo X500 is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary camera sensor, the same sensor used by the Vivo X300 Pro. The 1/1.28-inch sensor will make the X500 the standard X-series model with the largest main camera sensor so far. The primary camera will also offer Zeiss gimbal-level stabilisation with a CIPA 5.5 rating, which should improve stability while capturing both photos and videos.

This represents a significant change from the Vivo X300, which came with a custom 200-megapixel HPB main camera.

The telephoto camera will also get a notable upgrade. Vivo is expected to use the Sony LYTIA-610 sensor that is also found in the APO telephoto camera of the X500 Pro. This 64-megapixel sensor will support CIPA 5.5 stabilisation as well as 4K video recording at 120fps.

The Vivo X500 is also said to support Vivo’s compact Lipstick 200 telephoto extender. This could make the phone particularly interesting for users who want to capture distant subjects, including concert photography.

The newly confirmed camera information is also in line with a leak shared last month by famous Weibo Tipster DCS. According to the leak, the Vivo X500 could feature a 50-megapixel Sony primary camera paired with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The setup is also expected to include a 64-megapixel Sony periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and a 70mm equivalent focal length.

Telephoto macro photography support was also reportedly being considered. On the front, the phone is rumoured to feature a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie camera, although Vivo has not confirmed this particular detail yet.

Vivo X500 Expected Specifications

Apart from the cameras, the Vivo X500 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display. The smartphone is reportedly going to be powered by a Dimensity 9500-series chipset.

The phone could also pack a large 7,500mAh battery. It has already received 3C certification, which confirms support for 90W wired charging. There are also reports that Vivo could bring back 40W wireless charging, a feature seen on the previous generation.

On the software front, the Vivo X500 is expected to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

With the launch expected later this month in China, Vivo is gradually revealing more details about the X500 series. We can expect the brand to reveal more details of all three models in the series in the coming weeks.

OPPO appears to be gearing up for the launch of its next-generation Find X10 series. The upcoming OPPO Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max have now surfaced on multiple certification platforms, which only hints that the two flagship smartphones could make their way to the global market soon.

The latest developments include the OPPO Find X10 appearing on India’s BIS certification platform and the Find X10 Pro Max receiving TUV certification, which has revealed details about its charging support. Both phones have also appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification database. Here are more details.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav @yabhishekhd recently revealed on X that the OPPO Find X10 carrying model number CPH2911 and the Find X10 Pro Max with model number CPH2913 have appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification database.

The NBTC listings did not reveal any specifications but definitely give confirmation on the final moniker of both devices.

Meanwhile, Xpertpick’s latest report confirms that the upcoming OPPO Find X10 has now also appeared on India’s BIS certification platform with model number CPH2911. While the BIS listing does not reveal specifications, the certification is an important indication that the phone is being prepared for the Indian market.

OPPO Find X10 Pro Max Gets TUV Approval

Apart from all other appearances, the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max has also received TUV certification. The latest certification, details shared by tipster Anvin @ZionsAnvin on X, reveals that the phone will support 80W wired charging.

This is lower than the 100W charging support mentioned in earlier reports, making the TUV certification the newer information to consider regarding the phone’s charging capabilities.

No OPPO Find X10 Pro Appearances Yet

Interestingly, there is still no sign of the OPPO Find X10 Pro in any certifications as of now. The absence of the Pro model could point towards a different global strategy for OPPO’s flagship lineup this year, as pointed out by some tech enthusiasts online.

The company could potentially bring the standard Find X10 and the top-end Find X10 Pro Max to international markets while leaving out the Find X10 Pro. However, this has not been officially confirmed by OPPO.

OPPO Find X10 Series Launch Timeline

According to previously reported information, OPPO is expected to unveil the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max in China in September. The global launch is reportedly planned for “by late October.”

In India, the two smartphones are expected to be announced before Diwali, which falls in early November. The BIS certification for the Find X10 suggests that the India launch could happen in this speculated timeline.

Notably, the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro arrived in India in mid-November last year after making their debut in China and other markets in October.

Spotted by Android Treasure and published in multiple reports, the list includes the iQOO 16R and iQOO Z12 Lite along with the Vivo X500 FE, Vivo T6 Lite 5G and Vivo Y32 5G.

While details about most of these phones remain limited, the latest listings provide some information about their model numbers and hint at what we can expect from at least one of the upcoming iQOO devices. Here’s what we know so far.

iQOO 16R and Z12 Lite Appear in IMEI Database

iQOO recently introduced the iQOO Z11 Lite and iQOO Z11 in India, while its Chinese lineup includes the iQOO Z11S and Neo 11 Ultra. The company is also reportedly working on the iQOO 16 and Neo 12. Now, the iQOO 16R and iQOO Z12 Lite have joined the list of upcoming devices after appearing in the GSMA IMEI database.

The iQOO Z12 Lite carries the model number I2603, while the iQOO 16R is listed with model number I2606. The 16R has reportedly made its first appearance in the database, whereas the Z12 Lite had already been spotted on the EEC certification platform earlier this year.

There is currently no information available about the specifications of the iQOO Z12 Lite. However, the iQOO 16R could be related to the iQOO 16T, which is expected to be launched in China.

According to early reports, the iQOO 16R could feature a 2K Samsung OLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset. The smartphone is also tipped to come with a 200-megapixel primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. It may not include a periscope telephoto camera, potentially because the device is expected to focus more on performance.

The iQOO 16R is also rumoured to feature a built-in fan paired with liquid cooling for thermal management.

At present, details related to the upcoming iQOO Z12 Lite remain limited. We can, however, expect more certification appearances or leaks in the coming weeks to reveal more information.

According to the tipster, Oppo could equip all three cameras inside the square module with 200-megapixel sensors. This setup is said to include the main, ultra-wide and periscope telephoto cameras.

Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in Malaysia on September 3, 2026. The smartphone was recently introduced in Pakistan but the Malaysian version is expected to feature a different design and a significantly larger battery. Ahead of its official debut, the Malaysian variant has now appeared on the Google Play Console, revealing several key specifications.

The upcoming smartphone has also been listed for pre-orders in Malaysia, giving us more information about its RAM, storage configurations and colour options. Here is everything we know about the Vivo V80 Lite 5G Malaysian variant so far.

The Google Play Console listing identifies the Malaysian model of Vivo V80 Lite 5G with the product identifier V2626M_RU and categorises it as a smartphone.

Meanwhile, the phone has appeared in the Google Play Console supported devices database with the model numbers V2626 and V2655. Interestingly, both listings are associated with the device code V2626, which could mean that they could represent different regional versions of the same smartphone.

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G launched in Pakistan carries the V2576 model number. That device is a rebranded version of the Vivo S2, which was launched in India. The Pakistani version is also expected to make its way to the Indian market.

However, Vivo has confirmed through its launch teasers and pre-order listings that the Malaysian variant will get a different design.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G Specifications Revealed via Google Play Console

According to the Google Play Console listing, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G will be powered by the MediaTek MT6858 chipset. The processor configuration includes one Cortex-A78 core clocked at 2.5GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores with a 2.0GHz clock speed.

The MT6858 codename is associated with the Dimensity 7100 SoC. However, the CPU configuration shown in the Google Play Console listing does not match the known specifications of that chipset, which suggests the phone could use a new MediaTek processor.

For graphics, the chipset is paired with a dual-core ARM Mali-G610 GPU clocked at 1GHz. The listing shows between 7.8GB and 7.9GB of usable RAM, which points to an 8GB RAM variant.

The smartphone is also listed with a punch-hole display offering a 1260 × 2800-pixel resolution and a screen density of 440 DPI. On the software front, it will run Android 16 out of the box.

Vivo V80 Lite 5G to Pack a 10,000mAh Battery

One of the biggest differences between the Malaysian and Pakistani versions of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G will be the battery. While the Pakistani model comes with a 7,050mAh battery, the Malaysian variant is confirmed to feature a much larger 10,000mAh battery.

With the launch scheduled for September 3, more details about the differences between the two variants should become clear soon.
