The two phones feature identical 6.67-inch OLED displays with a 1080p+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. These displays deliver vibrant colours with 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage and can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. They are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.

In terms of durability, both phones have an impressive IP6X (dust-tight), IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 rating. This means they can withstand up to 2 meters underwater for 30 minutes and even resist hot water jets at 80°C. Moreover, their interiors are designed to absorb impacts from drops.

The Ministry of Electronics and IT proposed giving manufacturers of components like batteries and camera parts at least 230 billion rupees ($2.7 billion) in support, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified as the discussions are private. The ministry also recommended reducing tariffs on some electronic components, an industry demand that will help bring down production costs, one of the people said,” the report further added.

This support aligns with Apple’s goals as the company reportedly plans to start production of the upcoming iPhone 17 simultaneously in China and India.

The Indian/global variant (model number RMX5061) will differ slightly from the Chinese version (RMX5060) in terms of memory options. Expected configurations include the following –

For reference, the Chinese variant skips the 8GB option and offers different combinations.
