iQOO is gearing up to launch its Z9x 5G model in the country.
The company has officially confirmed the arrival date and platform for this upcoming affordable flagship killer.
Mark your calendars for May 16th, as iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the Z9x 5G will debut in India on that date.
The teaser poster shared also offered a glimpse of the phone’s sleek back panel design.
Another X post from the brand confirmed that the iQOO Z9x 5G will be available to purchase via Amazon in India post-launch.
More concrete information is expected closer to the unveiling next month.

While iQOO has been tight-lipped about full specs and pricing for the Indian variant so far, some details have trickled out already.
The company’s India website recently listed spare parts pricing, revealing that the Z9x 5G will likely launch in 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB RAM and storage configurations for the Indian market.
If the Indian pricing follows the China launch, buyers can expect the Z9x 5G to start around the Rs 15,000 mark for the base 8GB+128GB model.
Colour options may also mirror the Dark Night, Feng Yuqing, and Starburst White shades available in China.
As for specs, the iQOO Z9x 5G packs a fairly impressive punch in the affordable segment.
It features a large 6.72-inch FullHD+ 120Hz high refresh rate display with 1,000 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood is the capable Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main shooter accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, while selfie duties are handled by an 8MP front camera.
Keeping the lights on is a beefy 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
Other noteworthy features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and stereo speakers.
The arrival of the device is 10 days away.
