A new leak has revealed key camera details of upcoming Pro Max flagship smartphones from OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi. The latest information focuses on the primary camera sensors and highlights how each brand is taking a different approach while targeting ultra-high dynamic range performance.
According to an X post by account named Gm @Gm_t18, all three upcoming Pro Max models from brands like Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi are in for a camera face off.
Interestingly, all upcoming Pro Max models from these models are expected to focus heavily on delivering improved dynamic range with each device aiming for at least 16EV. This suggests a strong push toward better detail capture in both bright and dark areas of an image.
Starting with OPPO, the upcoming OPPO Find X10 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera using a large 1/1.3-inch Samsung HPC sensor. This setup is expected to offer high-resolution imaging along with enhanced dynamic range performance.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is said to take a different route. Instead of focusing on higher megapixels, the device will reportedly use a 50MP Sony LYTIA-838 sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size. Despite the lower megapixel count, the sensor is still expected to deliver at least 16EV dynamic range focusing on image quality and processing.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is also tipped to feature a 200MP camera but with a 1/1.28-inch SmartSens sensor. Like the OPPO model, this phone is expected to prioritise ultra-high resolution while maintaining strong dynamic range capabilities.
This highlights a split strategy among brands. While OPPO and Xiaomi are pushing toward 200MP sensors for higher detail, Vivo appears to be focusing on a refined 50MP sensor approach for balanced performance.
Overall, all three brands are targeting ultra-high dynamic range as a key feature in their upcoming Pro Max devices.
More details regarding these smartphones are expected to surface in the coming months.
