Google Discover has just gotten a new recent update which makes it easier to access liked articles thereby enhancing your content navigation.
Initially introduced in late 2020, Google Discover’s “heart” button replaced the older feedback mechanism, letting users like articles to tailor their content recommendations.
However, accessing these liked stories was cumbersome, as it was part of My Google Activity, a system that experienced functionality issues over time.
That all is not about to change as Google has streamlined this process with a new webpage URL called google.com/interests/liked.
This new page, titled “Interests,” features a simple layout with three top tabs.
Users can easily visit this page either through the Google app on Android devices or directly via the URL.
The interface is optimized primarily for mobile usage.
The update offers a more structured approach to content management.
Alongside the liked stories, Google Discover includes a ‘Saved’ section, where users can bookmark articles from both Search and Discover.
This section is ideal for saving content for later reading and also supports saving images and map listings.
Users can even create collections of saved items and share them, adding a social element to the feature.
Additionally, the ‘Followed’ tab caters to users who wish to stay updated on specific searches, offering notification options for new content.
Though it might seem like a minor update, this definitely improves the content discovery experience on Google.
It allows for more efficient and organized access to preferred articles and evolving the Google app into a comprehensive tool for search, news, and task management.
