BSNL has announced an extension in the validity of two of its popular prepaid plans.
The state-run telecom operator has updated its Rs 699 and Rs 999 recharge options, enhancing the value proposition for its users amidst a market where competitors often trim benefits to improve their financial metrics.
BSNL’s Rs 699 prepaid plan initially provided subscribers with 130 days of service; however, this period has now been expanded to 150 days, offering an additional 20 days at no extra cost.
Subscribers to this plan enjoy 0.5GB of data daily, translating to approximately 75GB over the plan’s duration.
Alongside data, the plan includes unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSes daily.
Additionally, for the first 60 days, customers receive a complimentary personalised ringback tone (PRBT), adding a touch of personalisation to the service.
Similarly, the Rs 999 prepaid plan has seen a validity increase from 200 to 215 days.
This plan is tailored for users prioritizing voice calls, offering unlimited voice calling benefits along with a 60-day free PRBT service.
Notably, this plan does not include data or SMS benefits, positioning it as a unique offering for specific customer needs.
While enhancing the value of its longer-duration plans, BSNL has also adjusted the validity of its Rs 99 plan downwards, from 18 to 17 days.
This move indicates a strategic pivot towards promoting plans with extended validity, likely aimed at securing a more stable and committed user base.
In addition to these customer-centric initiatives, BSNL is also making strides in network infrastructure by partnering with Tejas Networks to deploy 4G BTS across various regions of the country.
This development is eagerly anticipated by BSNL’s customers, promising improved connectivity and service quality.
BSNL has increased the validity of its Rs 699 and Rs 999 prepaid plans while slightly reducing the validity of the Rs 99 plan, as part of a strategy to encourage longer-term subscriptions.
The Rs 699 plan now offers 150 days of validity, with benefits including 0.5GB daily data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMSes per day, and a free PRBT for the first 60 days.
The Rs 999 plan’s validity has been extended to 215 days, providing unlimited voice calling and a 60-day complimentary PRBT service, without data or SMS benefits.
BSNL reduced the Rs 99 plan validity from 18 to 17 days, likely aiming to nudge customers towards opting for plans with longer validity periods.
BSNL is set to deploy 4G BTS across various parts of India in collaboration with Tejas Networks, aiming to significantly improve network coverage and service quality.
