OPPO is reportedly developing a new wide-screen smartphone with flagship specifications including MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600M chipset, two 200-megapixel cameras and a battery with a capacity of up to 8,000mAh. The upcoming device is currently being tested as an engineering prototype, according to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. While its official name remains unknown, recent leaks suggest it could launch as the OPPO Reno X or OPPO Find X10 Pro Mini.

OPPO’s New Wide-Screen Phone Specifications Emerge

Tipster Digital Chat Station has shared new details about OPPO’s upcoming wide-screen smartphone, adding to an earlier leak that revealed a flagship MediaTek chipset and dual 200-megapixel cameras.

According to the latest information, the engineering prototype is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset. The phone is also being tested with two 200-megapixel camera sensors from Samsung: the ISOCELL HPE and ISOCELL HP5.

However, the tipster has not specified which sensor will serve as the primary camera and which will be used for telephoto photography. Earlier information suggested that one of the cameras could be a periscope telephoto sensor.

While an earlier leak suggested a 7,000mAh battery, the latest report claims that OPPO is testing a battery with a capacity of up to 8,000mAh.

The phone is tipped to feature a 6.35-inch 8T OLED LTPO display with a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Other reported features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.

These specifications are based on an engineering prototype and have not been confirmed by OPPO.

Is OPPO Developing a Wide-Screen Find X10 Pro Mini?

The upcoming OPPO smartphone has appeared under different possible names in recent leaks. While an earlier report hinted at the OPPO Reno X moniker, tipster Gadgetsdata has also suggested that name for the device.

More recent information lists both the OPPO Find X10 Pro Mini and OPPO Reno X as tentative names. However, OPPO has not confirmed which name it will use for the final product.

The device is reportedly being developed as a wide-screen smartphone rather than a foldable phone. Its design is said to resemble the form factor associated with the Huawei Pura X View, offering a wider display experience in a conventional smartphone body.

For now, its final design and commercial name remain unconfirmed.

OPPO Wide-Screen Phone Launch Timeline

According to earlier reports, OPPO could launch the new wide-screen smartphone alongside the OPPO Find N7 foldable in China during the first quarter of 2027. Neither device has been officially announced by the company.

The reported launch window remains tentative and OPPO has not shared details about availability in other markets including India. Until OPPO makes an official announcement, the reported specifications and launch timeline should be treated as rumours.
