Acer has unveiled two new gaming routers, the Predator Connect X7 5G CPE and the Predator Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router, both designed to enhance the gaming experience with their advanced connectivity features.
These routers are powered by the Qualcomm Immersive Home Platform and incorporate the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology which is said to offer gamers stable connections and high-speed internet access.
The Predator Connect X7 packs in a combination of 5G and Wi-Fi 7 tri-band BE11000 throughput.
It provides an impressive 3.5 Gbps over 5G and boasts an ultra-low latency of 1 ms.
This router ensures stable connections by offering dual connectivity through both 5G and Ethernet.
It includes features like load balancing and failover among devices in the mesh network, enhancing reliability.
On the other hand, the Predator Connect T7 supports Wi-Fi 7 tri-band throughput and complements the X7 with its ability to integrate into multi-unit mesh systems.
This router is designed to provide vast network coverage and reduce latency to levels comparable to wired connections.
Both routers are equipped with Qualcomm Technologies’ advanced quad-core processors, which significantly enhance online gaming and streaming experiences.
They feature improved spectrum utilization, and enhanced MU-MIMO and OFDMA across connected devices.
“We are excited to announce the latest Predator routers with 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity options, empowering gamers to take their gameplay to new heights,” said Wayne Ma, General Manager, Connectivity, Acer Inc.
“Thanks to Qualcomm’s Immersive Home Platform and quad-core processors, the new Predator routers bring next-level performance and speed output to a wider range of players and gaming environments.”
“Qualcomm Technologies is pleased to collaborate with Acer, bringing a full suite of advanced connectivity technologies to bear spanning 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Mesh Networking,” said Rahul Patel, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Connectivity Broadband and Networking, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
“Together, these are essential technologies for next-gen gaming and will thrill users with their immersive and responsive gaming experiences.”
The routers boast several features to enhance gaming experiences.
They are compatible with the Intel Killer Prioritization Engine, which optimizes network data for thousands of games, apps, and websites.
Wi-Fi 7’s capabilities like 320 MHz channel support, 4K QAM, and Multi-Link Operations allow devices to simultaneously transmit and receive data across various frequency bands, improving throughput and minimizing latency.
With Multi-Link Mesh, multiple access points work together to create a unified network, that is likely to ensure efficient Wi-Fi coverage throughout homes and large spaces.
Gamers can also manage their network through the Acer Predator Connect utility app and monitor network signal strength via the Predator logo’s multi-color lighting indicator.
For added security, the routers integrate Trend Micro Home Network Security engine, providing protection against potential attacks and monitoring network traffic.
The Predator Connect X7 5G CPE stands out for its combination of 5G and Wi-Fi 7 technologies, delivering speeds up to 3.5 Gbps and an ultra-low latency of 1 ms.
This router is specifically designed for gamers seeking the fastest and most stable internet connection.
The Predator Connect T7 is built for extensive network coverage and reduced latency, comparable to wired connections.
It’s ideal for gamers who require reliable and vast coverage in their gaming setup, especially in larger spaces.
Both routers boast features like improved spectrum utilization, enhanced MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and compatibility with the Intel Killer Prioritization Engine.
These features collectively enhance online gaming and streaming experiences by optimizing network data for games and apps.
The integration with Qualcomm Technologies equips the routers with advanced quad-core processors, elevating their performance, speed, and reliability.
This partnership ensures that the routers can handle the demands of next-gen gaming.
