“Xiaomi SU7 is undergoing extensive road testing across China, and we’re finalizing preparations for its launch,” Lei Jun stated on Weibo. “To dedicate more attention to the automobile business, I’ve delegated the general management of the Xiaomi brand to Liu Weibing.

Currently, he is the President of the Group. He will also be the presenter at future Xiaomi conferences focused on smartphones, starting with the Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra.”

This shift emphasizes the company’s commitment to its EV aspirations. Despite this strategic move, Lei Jun reassured stakeholders. “Rest assured, the mobile phone business remains Xiaomi’s core, and I will continue to invest significant energy in it.”
