Meta has announced some major updates for the WhatsApp Business Platform at its global Conversations event held in Miami on July 1. These changes are designed to help businesses connect better with their customers, improve marketing, and add new ways to chat including voice and video calls. Here’s everything we know about the new features
One of the biggest changes is that WhatsApp is now part of Meta’s larger ad system. This means businesses can manage ad campaigns across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram from a single place, the Meta Ads Manager.

They’ll be able to use the same creative content, setup tools, and budgets across all three platforms.
After setup, businesses can upload subscriber lists and choose to send WhatsApp messages manually or let Meta’s Advantage+ AI pick the best platform for delivery. Soon, businesses will even be able to run ads directly in WhatsApp Status.
