Vivo has taken the wraps off its latest affordable 5G handset in China – the Y200i.
This new addition to Vivo’s Y-series lineup succeeds last year’s Y100i model.
Here’s what you need to know
The Vivo Y200i comes in three colour options: Blue, Glacier White and Midnight Black.
It will be available to pre-order from today, with sales kicking off in China from 27th April. Prices start at:
8GB+256GB: 1599 CNY(around Rs 15,000)
12GB+256GB: 1799 CNY(around Rs 18,000)
12GB+512GB: 1999 CNY (around Rs 23,000)
The Y200i sports a large 6.72-inch 1080p LCD panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
It gets its power from Qualcomm’s budget-tier Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage.
On the camera front, Vivo has equipped a 50MP main sensor along with a 2MP depth lens.
There’s also an 8MP selfie shooter housed in a notch cutout.
The phone packs a sizeable 6000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.
Vivo claims it can reach 50% in just 36 minutes.
Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an IP64 dust/water resistance rating.
Software-wise, the Y200i boots Vivo’s Origin OS 4 interface based on Android 14 out of the box.
It joins Vivo’s existing range of affordable Y-series 5G mobiles.
