Vivo is looking for an expansion of its Y-series lineup and the current contender for that is the Vivo Y200e 5G.
With its sighting on databases such as the Bluetooth SIG, Geekbench, BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), and the Google Play Console, the handset’s launch can be considered imminent.
As per the Tech Outlook, the Vivo Y200e 5G has been officially recognized in the BIS database by the model number “V2336”.
This is consistent across both the Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench listings, further solidifying the findings.
The database entry dated February 7, 2024, marks a pivotal step towards the device’s introduction to the Indian market.
While an exact launch date for the Vivo Y200e 5G remains under wraps, the device’s presence on key certification platforms like the Google Play Console and BIS hints at a nearing announcement.
However, the Google Play Console listing introduces the device under a different model number, “V2327,” yet it provides a deeper insight into the specifications that the Vivo Y200e 5G will boast.
The device is shown to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and supported by the Adreno 613.
It’s expected to ship with 8GB of RAM and run on the latest Android 14 OS, most likely adorned with Vivo’s custom FuntouchOS 14.
The display of the Vivo Y200e 5G is said to feature a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 440 DPI.
The Google Play Console database has also given us a sneak peek at the device through a render image.
Sporting a sleek design, the Y200e 5G features flat front, rear, and side panels.
Its rear hosts a rectangular camera module with three cameras and an LED flash, positioned towards the top-left, complemented by the Vivo branding at the bottom-left.
The front display boasts slim bezels, a slightly thicker chin, and a centrally-placed punch-hole for the selfie camera.
Notably, a blue colour variant with a textured design has been spotted, though additional colour options are anticipated at launch.
