Vivo X300 Series Starts Receiving Stable OriginOS 7 Update Based on Android 17 in India

Highlights

  • The stable OriginOS 7 update delivers Google’s latest OS to India’s vivo X300 series.
  • The 5.35GB software bundle adds customisations, multitasking, and improved animations.
  • Users must have at least 50% battery before installing the update.

Vivo has started rolling out the stable OriginOS 7 update for the Vivo X300 series in India. Early users on Reddit reported the software update, built on top of Google’s current Android 17 operating system, sharing images showing the fresh build hitting their devices. The stable OriginOS 7 update has the version number PD2509F_EX_A_17.1.16.6.W30, and has an estimated file size of 5.35 GB.

The OriginOS 7 update provides a new set of system animations, better background efficiency, increased lock-screen customisation and stricter privacy options right to Vivo’s newest flagship series. The update is being sent over-the-air (OTA) in a staged release, which means a small number of users initially get this update, and then it is rolled out more broadly over the next several days. If you haven’t received the update on your Vivo X300 yet, it will be rolling to all the eligible devices in the next days. Other versions in the lineup include the X200 series and X Fold models, which will arrive in mid-November.
