Vivo X Fold 6 launch in China is all set for June 26th and the brand has been releasing teasers for a while now. We also had live images of the foldable phone revealing key design details circulating on Chinese social media earlier this month. Now, Vivo has officially unveiled the key specifications of the Vivo X Fold 6 ahead of its scheduled launch. It appears the upcoming Vivo foldable smartphone is positioned as a premium flagship offering with AI-powered productivity features, advanced camera hardware and a large battery capacity. Here’s what we know.

Vivo X Fold 6 – Expected Variants

The foldable is expected to launch in multiple configurations including 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, and a top-end 16GB RAM with 1TB storage variant.

In terms of pricing, the Vivo X Fold 6 is tipped to start at 9,999 Yuan (approximately $1,470). The smartphone is expected to be available in green, black, white, and a black-and-gold colour option.

Reports suggest that the black-and-gold finish will be exclusive to the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant.

Vivo X Fold 6 – Productivity, Multitasking and Durability Features (Revealed)

According to the official teasers, Vivo X Fold 6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset paired with Vivo’s Blue Crystal tuning technology. The device will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a version of Vivo’s software platform optimised for large foldable displays and complex multitasking scenarios.

Vivo is also bringing an upgraded Atomic Workbench feature to the foldable. The feature supports both serial and parallel task modes enabling users to run multiple applications simultaneously on a single screen. According to the company, the smartphone is designed to serve as a powerful AI productivity tool allowing users to combine AI-based workflows with large-screen multitasking.

Other productivity-focused features include a desktop-style interface and PC-level WPS support, which are intended to make the foldable a more capable device for users who need to work while on the move.

One of the standout features of the Vivo X Fold 6 is its large 7,000mAh battery, which will be available across all storage and RAM variants. Vivo has combined fifth-generation silicon-carbon battery technology with a third-generation semi-solid-state battery design in an effort to address one of the key challenges faced by foldable smartphones. The phone will be offering a large battery without significantly increasing thickness.

The foldable also features Samsung’s M14 display material for the inner screen, while the outer display is protected by second-generation Armour Glass.

The Vivo X Fold 6 will offer IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings along with IP5X dust resistance. Vivo has also confirmed support for underwater folding capabilities.

For connectivity, the smartphone features the company’s self-developed 1+4 communication chipset system, which is designed to deliver stronger and more stable network performance.

Vivo X Fold 6 – 200MP ZEISS Camera System (Confirmed)

Vivo X Fold 6 is equipped with a 200-megapixel ZEISS primary camera that uses a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and supports CIPA 4.5 stabilisation.

The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel ZEISS APO telephoto camera based on a 1/1.95-inch sensor. Supporting the imaging system is Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, which is expected to enhance image processing capabilities.

The foldable will additionally support the optional ZEISS Teleconverter G2 accessory, Dolby Vision 4K 60fps video recording, and full-range zoom flash functionality.
