Vivo has officially announced the launch date of its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 6. After several weeks of teasers and leaks, the company has confirmed via its official Weibo account that the device will debut in China on June 26 at 7:00 PM CST (4:30 PM IST).
Vivo has also opened pre-orders for the foldable smartphone across mainland China with early buyers getting a chance to participate in a lucky draw where they could win the device for free.

Vivo X Fold 6 – Design (Confirmed)

Vivo has hinted at the design of the Vivo X Fold 6 including a large circular rear camera module and a blue-green finish. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will be offered in a “Blue Hole” colour option inspired by deep-sea blue sinkholes.
The foldable will also feature more rounded corners and a 2.5D metal frame with vertical edges.

Vivo has revealed several key details about its upcoming flagship foldable. The company previously confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 6 will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a custom user interface specifically designed for foldable smartphones. It has also been confirmed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.
Vivo product manager Han Boxiao has shared additional camera specifications of the X Fold 6 through Weibo. According to the executive, the foldable smartphone will feature a 200MP Samsung HPB primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/1.68 aperture. The camera system will also include a Zeiss APO periscope telephoto lens that uses a 50MP Sony LYT-602 sensor.

Both the primary camera and telephoto camera are confirmed to support CIPA 4.5-rated stabilisation. Vivo says the X Fold 6 will support portrait photography across focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 100mm while maintaining 50MP output.
The company also claims that the X Fold 6 is the only foldable smartphone equipped with a “full-focal-length zoom flash,” a feature designed to improve lighting performance for night portrait photography across multiple focal lengths. Moreover, the foldable will support the Vivo Zeiss Teleconverter G2 providing an equivalent focal length of 200mm.
On the display front, Vivo has confirmed that the X Fold 6 will feature an 8.02-inch inner foldable screen that uses Samsung’s M14 light-emitting material. Both the inner and outer displays are said to support a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The panels will also be capable of reaching a minimum brightness level of just 1 nit for comfortable viewing in low-light conditions.
