The movie revolves around three friends three friends, played by Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, who have undertaken a (literally) monumental task of going for a trek to the Mt Everest Base Camp to fulfil the last wish of their deceased friend, played by Danny Denzongpa.

They are joined on the way by Danny’s long lost love who has her own regrets of not having fought for their love, while the three elderly friends battle the physical limitations, find the meaning of freedom, due to which their trek turns into a spiritual, personal, and emotional journey.
