Samsung Makes Fingerprint Login a Secure Measure

Electronic devices have become a part and parcel of our lives due to which manual labour has taken the backseat to a considerable extent, although it is hard to deny that devices and gadgets have made our lives a lot easier than expected.

2022 has been one of the best years when the likes of Apple, Samsung, Google, and other tech giants have launched some excellent devices, with a slew of others lined up for 2023 that has left users excited.

Samsung, in the meanwhile, is planning something that will make fingerprint login quite secure with the help of a new technology because the existing technology uses a small scanner that can detect and read only one fingerprint at a time.

But with the help of this new technology the whole OLED display screen will become a fingerprint scanner, as a result of which users can simultaneously scan multiple fingerprints, which apparently makes scanning 2.5 billion times safer than the present scanner.

It was Samsung Display that announced that it is in the process of developing an All-in-One fingerprint sensing solution for OLED 2.0, which are touted as the next generation display screens, which will have Organic Photo Diode (OPD technology) developed by ISORG, a French company specializing in OPD development.

ISORG has claimed that a single fingerprint scanner gives one percent false positive, while the advanced OPD technology can allow users to to utilize four finger authentication, which increases security 2500 million times faster.

The company has further claimed that this new technology will undergo mass production in 2023, while Samsung devices will be able to get it around 2025 if all goes well and work is completed on time.
