Samsung Display has introduced a new 77-inch QD-OLED TV panel capable of delivering up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. Revealed ahead of CES 2026, the company claims it is the world’s brightest self-emissive display to date. The QD-OLED panel achieves this brightness by combining the peak luminance of individual RGB elements, rather than relying on white subpixels.
According to Samsung, this method enhances colour purity and offers higher perceived brightness compared to conventional OLED panels.
The panel also supports AI-driven image optimisation, enabling TVs to automatically fine-tune picture quality based on both content and viewing environment. Samsung Display plans to integrate this next-generation QD-OLED panel into its premium OLED TV lineup launching in 2026.
At CES 2026, Samsung Display will present a variety of AI-powered OLED concept devices. Among them is the AI OLED Bot, a compact robot featuring a 13.4-inch OLED display designed to function as a teaching assistant. The company will also showcase the AI OLED Turntable and AI OLED Cassette, speaker systems equipped with circular OLED displays that recommend music and display visuals in real time.

Samsung Display has created a dedicated durability zone at the exhibition to demonstrate the resilience of its OLED panels. One test involves a robotic arm repeatedly throwing basketballs at 18 foldable OLED panels mounted on a board, with the displays continuing to function normally after multiple impacts. Another test drops steel balls onto foldable screens to compare their durability against other display technologies.
In the automotive segment, Samsung Display is set to unveil new cockpit display concepts including an 18.1-inch flexible L-shaped centre screen, a concealed passenger display, and OLED tail lamps capable of showing live road alerts to vehicles behind.
The company is also showcasing its RGB OLEDoS microdisplay, which delivers 5,000 pixels per inch within a 1.4-inch panel. Samsung has integrated this display into a headset demo to highlight its potential applications in future XR devices.

Samsung Electronics has also announced the world’s first 130-inch Micro RGB TV, known as the R95H model, at CES 2026. This marks the debut of Samsung’s largest Micro RGB display and introduces a new design direction for ultra-premium televisions.
“Micro RGB represents the peak of our picture quality innovation, and the new 130-inch model takes that vision even further,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “We’re reviving the spirit of our original design philosophy introduced more than a decade ago to deliver an unmistakably premium display, engineered with technology for a new generation.”
The 130-inch Micro RGB TV is powered by Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Micro RGB Color Booster Pro, and Micro RGB HDR Pro. These AI-powered technologies enhance muted tones, refine contrast, and deliver vivid colours with fine detail across both bright and dark scenes.

The display supports Micro RGB Precision Color 100, offering 100% coverage of the BT.2020 wide color gamut. It has also been certified by the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE) for accurate Micro RGB color reproduction. Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology further reduces reflections, helping maintain consistent color and contrast under different lighting conditions.
Additional features include support for HDR10+ ADVANCED1 and Eclipsa Audio, along with Samsung’s enhanced Vision AI Companion. This enables conversational search, proactive recommendations, and access to AI-powered tools and apps such as AI Football Mode Pro, AI Sound Controller Pro, Live Translate, Generative Wallpaper, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity.
The display will be showcased at Samsung’s Exhibition Zone during CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Samsung has also introduced AI Soccer Mode Pro and AI Sound Controller Pro in its latest TV range, allowing users to adjust visuals and audio using voice commands. The 2026 TV lineup supports HDR10+ ADVANCED for improved brightness and motion clarity, while Eclipsa Audio is being rolled out across all models to enhance spatial sound performance.
In the gaming category, Samsung revealed its new Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at CES 2026. These displays include the first 6K 3D gaming screen and run on an upgraded Tizen OS with Samsung promising up to seven years of software updates.
Samsung also highlighted advancements in smart home appliances. The company showcased SmartThings integration in its new AI-powered Family Hub refrigerator, which can track stored food, recommend recipes, and provide step-by-step cooking guidance. Samsung is also simplifying laundry and clothing care through AI-enabled washing machines and steam-based wrinkle removal solutions.
At CES 2026, Samsung shared its roadmap for proactive healthcare powered by AI. The company plans to combine data from smartphones, wearables, and home devices to offer users personalised guidance on sleep, fitness, and nutrition.
AI will also help identify early health risks and securely share reports with doctors, with user data protected by Samsung Knox security systems.
CES 2026 is scheduled to take place from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas.
