Samsung’s next flagship tablets are already getting attention before their official launch. Several leaks and APK teardowns suggest the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could use MediaTek’s top Dimensity 9500 chipset, which should improve gaming, AI performance, and battery life.
These new tablets are expected to replace the Galaxy Tab S11 series later this year and could be Samsung’s most powerful Android tablets so far.
Samsung did not release a Plus model in the Galaxy Tab S11 series, but leaks now indicate the Galaxy Tab S12+ will return. The tablet has already shown up in firmware testing under model number SM-X846B, which suggests development is moving quickly.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to have a 12.4-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Reports also say Samsung may use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, continuing its recent move toward MediaTek processors in high-end tablets.
It is expected that Samsung could upgrade the battery capacity too. If leaks are to be believed, the Galaxy Tab S12+ may come with a battery of around 10,500mAh to 10,600mAh, making it slightly bigger than its predecessor. It may also support fast charging and come with improved thermal efficiency.
Samsung will likely add Galaxy AI features, improved Samsung DeX multitasking, S Pen support, and better productivity tools for creators and professionals.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is rumoured to stay as Samsung’s largest and most high-end Android tablet. Leaks say it could keep its 14.6-inch AMOLED display with very thin bezels and a high refresh rate.
Like the Tab S12+, the Ultra model is also expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Reports say this chipset offers strong gaming performance and stays cooler during long use, making the tablets good for demanding games and multitasking.
Samsung will probably keep offering premium features like quad speakers, advanced cooling, S Pen support, and better AI-powered productivity tools. The tablet may also get upgrades to battery optimisation and on-device AI, including generative image editing and expansion features.
As per leaks, Samsung might come up with only two models in the Galaxy Tab S12 series i.e. Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, reflecting its focus on larger & premium tablets. Reports suggest that the tablets might see the light of day in September this year.
Both tablets are rumoured to feature MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset for improved gaming, multitasking, and AI performance.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch OLED display, while the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra may come with a larger 14.6-inch AMOLED panel.
Leaks suggest Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra in the second half of 2026, possibly around September.
