It appears Samsung is sticking to the tried and tested formulas when it comes to the design of the upcoming Galaxy S25 Series. The latest leaked renders of Galaxy S25 Plus hint at a design too similar to its predecessors.
In a report, Android Headlines has revealed renders of the upcoming Galaxy S25 Plus. The renders show that the Galaxy S25 Plus looks nearly identical to the Galaxy S24 Plus.
It doesn’t end there. It is now being said that the entire upcoming S25 lineup will likely look similar to the Galaxy S24 series.
As per the leaks, the Galaxy S25 Plus will measure 158.4 x 75.7 x 7.3mm. If true, this will make it thinner than the S24 Plus.
However, the display is expected to remain the same size.
Another report from GalaxyClub further confirms that there would not be any upgrade in the battery sizes of the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
While the Galaxy S25 will come with a 4,000mAh battery, the S25 Plus will reportedly feature a 4,900mAh battery.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the other hand, will most likely have a 5,000mAh battery, which is similar to the S24 series.
With no battery upgrade, Samsung will fall behind competitors such as the OnePlus 12, vivo X100 Pro, ASUS ROG Phone 8, and HONOR Magic 6 Pro. All these devices offer batteries larger than 5,400mAh. And then their the OnePlus 13, which is rumoured to get a massive 6,000mAh battery.
What’s interesting to note is how Samsung has been making the phones thinner while still maintaining the battery sizes.
The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are expected to launch in January 2025.
Among other things, speculations are also rife that all three models will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. Some contradictory reports suggest Samsung might stick with a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos processors.
The processors could be different in different regions for the S25 and S25 Plus.
