Samsung launched the Galaxy F56 in May this year featuring an Exynos 1480 chipset, 8GB RAM, a 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP primary sensor and a 5,000mAh battery. Since we rarely get to see mid-range devices in teardown videos, it is quite surprising that the Galaxy F56 has now been featured in a new teardown video. So, here’s everything we know about the inner workings of this phone, thanks to PBKreviews’s newly released teardown video.
In PBKreviews’ teardown of the Galaxy F56, the disassembly begins by removing the glass back panel. From there, it involves unscrewing multiple screws to access the internal components.
The device uses a plastic frame, the ports are protected with rubber gaskets and the battery is held in place with a good amount of adhesive.
After the full teardown, the Galaxy F56 earned an impressive repairability score of 9 out of 10, where 10 is the easiest to repair and 0 is the hardest. It received top marks for ease of battery replacement, availability of spare parts, and how simple it is to replace other components like the charging port.
However, in two specific areas such as “the organisation and time needed for repairs” and “how easy it is to replace the screen,” the phone scored 1.5 out of 2 in each.
If Samsung had made the internal layout more repair-friendly and the screen easier to swap, the Galaxy F56 could have achieved a perfect score, something that’s quite rare to see.
