Oppo has officially announced the launch date of its upcoming F-series smartphones in India. The company will introduce the Oppo F33 Pro 5G and Oppo F33 5G on April 15. Alongside the announcement, Oppo has also revealed key details about the design, durability and battery features of the devices. Here’s what we know so far.
Oppo has confirmed that both the Oppo F33 Pro 5G and Oppo F33 5G will come with an IP69K certification. This rating offers advanced protection against dust and water including resistance to high-pressure and high-temperature water jets.
According to the company, this makes the devices suitable for challenging conditions such as construction sites, outdoor use or even exposure to industrial cleaning environments.
The smartphones will feature an aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium alloy frame reinforced with collision beams to enhance structural strength. The display will be protected by a thickened AGC DT-STAR D+ glass.
Additionally, Oppo has integrated an internal “airbag” cushioning system that uses foam and silicone padding to absorb shocks and protect key components like the camera, battery, and speakers.
The Oppo F33 series will be powered by a large 7,000mAh battery. It will support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. Oppo claims that the battery can retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity even after 1,830 charge cycles, which is said to translate to around five years of daily usage.
The battery will also include self-repairing electrolyte technology designed to maintain and recover cell health over time.
On the rear, both smartphones are expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera. Oppo will also bring a range of AI-powered imaging features including AI Groupfie Expert, AI Portrait Glow, Dual-View Video and a Colourful Front Fill Light to enhance photography and video experiences.
In terms of optics, the Oppo F33 Pro 5G is confirmed to feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide front camera with a 100-degree field of view. It will also include a 0.6x zoom option in the viewfinder.
The Oppo F33 Pro 5G is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, which is expected to be a slightly improved version of the Dimensity 6300 processor.
Oppo has also confirmed that the Oppo F33 Pro 5G will be available in three colour options, which are Misty Forest, Starry Blue and Passion Red.
