The Snapdragon X Elite laptops have yet to hit the market, but Qualcomm has already announced a new, 10-core chip, simply called the Snapdragon X Plus.

In the past, Samsung has used names such as “Galaxy Book S” for its fanless Windows laptop based on the Snapdragon 8cx and “Galaxy Book Go” for a fanless laptop that relies on the Snapdragon 7c.

It seems there is a lack of consistency in naming conventions for Samsung’s Windows-on-ARM laptops, with “Edge” being a random term employed, perhaps, as the latest.

Time is running out for Samsung if it has ambitions to be first to market with a Snapdragon X-powered laptop.
