Samsung, a consumer electronics brand in India, has announced the introduction of Galaxy AI features to more Galaxy flagship devices, starting today.
The features will be available on the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series.
This update aims to enhance the mobile AI experience for users and is in line with the functionalities introduced with the Galaxy S24 series.
Pricing for the devices with these new features has been updated.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is available at a price of Rs 99,999 after a cashback from HDFC Bank and an upgrade bonus.
The Galaxy S23 and S23 FE have similar offers, with effective prices of Rs 55,999 and Rs 44,999, respectively, after cashback and bonuses.
The Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 are available at Rs 138,999 and Rs 85,999, respectively, with specific cashback and upgrade bonuses.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series starts at Rs 60,999, including cashback and an upgrade bonus.
The introduction of Galaxy AI features to these devices enables users to access several new functions.
These include Circle to Search, Live Translate, and Note Assist, which are designed to facilitate daily tasks and improve efficiency on supported models.
Circle to Search allows users to generate search results by circling or tapping on an image on their display.
Live Translate offers real-time voice and text translations for phone calls.
Note Assist can generate summaries and pre-formatted templates for notes, while Chat Assist provides suggestions for conversational tones in messages.
Interpreter offers live conversation translation through a split-screen view, and Transcript Assist can transcribe, summarize, and translate voice recordings.
Browsing Assist generates summaries of news articles or web pages, and Generative Edit allows users to adjust photo compositions post-capture.
Edit Suggestion uses AI to recommend photo edits.
Customers can also opt for EMI options starting at Rs 2,292 per month through Samsung Finance+ and other partners, with no-cost EMI options available for up to 24 months.
Samsung has, however, provided clarifications to 9to5Google regarding the availability of certain Galaxy AI features on specific devices.
Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE will miss out on the “Instant Slow-Mo” capability within the Samsung Gallery application.
This innovative function enables users to apply a slow-motion effect to video segments by long-pressing during playback, effectively creating slow-motion footage from standard video by interpolating additional frames.
Additionally, the “Live Translate” feature, which allows for real-time translation of phone calls, will not be accessible on Wi-Fi-only models of the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Given that “Live Translate” is designed primarily for translating voice calls, its exclusion from Wi-Fi-only tablets aligns with the feature’s intended use, with availability remaining for the 5G variants of the tablet.
Samsung has launched a suite of Galaxy AI features across its flagship devices, aimed at enhancing user experience and productivity.
These features include Circle to Search for generating search results by circling an image, Live Translate for real-time voice and text translations, Note Assist for generating summaries and templates, and more.
The Galaxy AI features update is available on the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series.
These updates aim to align the user experience with the functionalities introduced with the Galaxy S24 series, enhancing mobile AI capabilities across Samsung’s flagship range.
Yes, Samsung has announced updated pricing for Galaxy AI-enabled devices, including cashback from HDFC Bank and upgrade bonuses.
