Samsung is gearing up to launch three new mid-range smartphones in its Galaxy A series, which includes the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26. All three devices recently received TUV Rheinland certification signalling that their release is just around the corner. Here’s what we know so far.
The Galaxy A26 was spotted with multiple model numbers including SM-A266B/DS, SM-A266B, SM-A266M/DS and SM-A266M.
The Galaxy A36 also appeared in several variants such as SM-A366B, SM-A336B/DS, SM-A366E, and others. Similarly, the premium Galaxy A56 showed up with variants like SM-A566B/DS and SM-A566E/DS.
The certification confirms that the Galaxy A26 will support 25W wired fast charging, while the Galaxy A36 and A56 will feature faster 45W wired charging. Apart from this, the certification listing doesn’t provide detailed specs.
Based on earlier leaks, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy A56 and A36 by mid-March 2025.
The Galaxy A56 previously appeared on Geekbench, revealing that it will be powered by the Exynos 1580 SoC.
The new Galaxy A models are also expected to feature a refreshed design. According to a TENAA listing, the Galaxy A56 will sport a pill-shaped rear camera module that resembles the camera layout of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
